After finding a Portal, how do I use it?

On one of its sides, there's a terminal - it will pop out of the ground once you approach it. Interacting with it for the first time should prompt you to charge the portal up, and that's done by individually charging up all glyphs in the glyph wheel to 100%.

» Organic: 20 Carbon, 7 Condensed Carbon, or 10 Oxygen per glyph.
» Catalytic: 10 Sodium or 4 Sodium Nitrate per glyph.
» Earth: 20 Cobalt, 20 Deuterium, 20 Di-hydrogen, 5 Ionised Cobalt, or 50 Salt per glyph.
» Stellar: 20 Copper, 10 Cadmium, 7 Emeril, 5 Indium or 10 Activated Copper per glyph.

I charged up the portal, but nothing is happening?

Double check all glyphs charge bars. Are one or more not 100% charged? - see example.

I fully charged up the portal; now, which option do I choose?

Activate Portal will display the address input screen - Each portal address is made up of 12 glyphs. A Portal can only lead to locations in the same galaxy.
Request Planet Address will provide the current planet's glyph address, though this option is barely used today, due to the glyph address also showing up in photo mode.

After selecting Activate Portal, I don't have any glyphs available to input.
You need to learn the 16 glyphs to fully use the portal network -- although, after having learned 1 - 2 glyphs you could go places, just very limited choices.

📖 Did you know? The portal you charged up should still be good for a few more trips, even to different destinations. Bookmarking it with a base computer is probably a wise choice.

3. Restarted the game.

Alright Hubbers, what does everyone want to see in a purple system? There has been some debate about this, so I would like to hear others comments and suggestions. Reply to this message or send me a dm with your thoughts. I'm not looking for debates here, just what your ideas are.

In terms of overall system requirements, ideally Mitey would like at least one paradise planet.. and a moon. (one or more!) the environment of the moon should be acceptable for farming animals and the like. In terms of minerals found, a place with copper.. and I do not know if it is possible but.. a system with quarzite? (maybe a gas giant.. or is that a whole separate system thing?)

And of course we have to have a hot planet for @ornate slate !

I second some of the suggestions above. An additional home for Guntie would be lovely.

And definitely a beautiful lush paradise planet, just not sure if it has to be earth-like (i.e. doesn't have to have green grass) BUT with pretty looking water that's not rusty color as an example Who wants to swim in rusty water, really? And low sentinel activity preferred (at least not aggressive). Although I guess we can always adjust sentinel activity with custom settings. But by default, a paradise that doesn't have crazy annoying sentinel activity would be better for newer players.

Ride means they will join your game, go to the hub and then you can warp to them by landing in the space anomaly and taking off

That way someone who doesn't have glyphs unlocked yet can visit the hub

Oh yes, there are certainly some out-of-the-box creations out there. Several based on the teleport loop, which also resulted in the monorail you mentioned. Not too many players out there who are truly into the unthinkable, but every now and then you'll come across something interesting.

im in the Relics expedition rn. would i get to keep all the items/ tools/ upgrades/ ships from the expedition after i finish and go back to the main save? if not, what is gonna be destroyed?

After rounding up the expedition you will be able to put items in the expedition terminus you used to start it

After going back to primary save you will be able to pull them out and copy multitool and ship you had active in the expedition (costs nanites)

Purple system, needs to have a water world, a frozen for Guntie, and optimally a Paradise that isn't eye searing with colors - you know, not crazy red grass and red sky, yellow sky and green water, etc. something you can easily look at for hours. After that we would like to have some planets that are so called "normal" - toxic, desert, hot, irradiated. No set number there, potentially a dead planet for the gravity fun (not required)

Low conflict level, so no pirates interfering everytime you want to explore or wander on foot

I did find an underwater sentinel pillar with guards around it awhile back (at least in pretty sure it had sentinels around it?) dropped a base nearby just because it was cool to look at so deep in the dark water

U can get exp pet rewards as eggs from other players.

Sometimes twitch drops have past exp rewards.

It does yes, but we need more information about how that settlement mechanic works. Will that actually change to a 3 star? Will everyone see that or just whoever has a good settlement? What if the servers are down. Does that affect S class spawn chances?

I'm proceeding right now as if having a decent settlement won't change anything but the tier and won't affect spawn chances, but I would love to be wrong
