if you mean you are remaining in the telemat (teleporting) thing for a few minutes, then yes that's been a thing. Our hub system has a LOT that loads into it and takes some time. Usually takes me 8 minutes to get in there. Either hang in there or try and load in from somewhere else

oh it gets to be insane indeed. Its not ALWAYS 8 minutes. When there's very little hub activity I am bam, right in there! We've got a LOT in the hub.. heck I think over 150 bases? So it doesn't surprise me that it takes time. AH but dedication! That hotel will get finished! I tell you @ornate slate when you see how its turned out.. its just SO much better! Gettin there. (following in the footsteps of the awesome revision of Gekball!)

hey mitey, how's it going 🙂 so i've tested teleporting to my base on distira just now, with multiplayer disabled, and had no cached bases from that system in the save. took my machine and network connection 1m32s to finish teleporting. i then went to station teleporter, and these were the bases i saw uploaded in the system then. next time you try teleporting in, and get that insane loading time, mind getting a screenshot of the other uploaded bases in the station teleporter?

ah also, i'm on normal mode as well

I HATE terrain manipulation... I was trying to build a nice house on Distira in a spot with a power hotspot nearby, only to realize the terrain was uneven, and I don't know how to flatten terrain upwards...

I tried to make my own terrain, just to accidentally crash the game because I somehow added terrain up to myself (I was standing on a high-up platform, because I wanted to make the terrain-building easier...)

The base must just be in our NMSCord Hub and entered in Gunter's base database using the !Base command in the #998315852841619620 thread -- as long as it's in the Hub system and has an image, Gunter can randomly feature it. However, this appears to have cleared up again, with loading times no longer being this extreme yesterday and today. If you have some spare time to check the current load times, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Do make sure to visit a neighbour system without any base first, to save there and restart to try again. Thank you!

@swift shuttle Did the test! Went to a system that was not yet discovered. Landed at station, did a save. Then quit game and started back up with Multiplayer turned off.

There were NO bases in the "other" category so cache was clear. It still took me 5 to 6 minutes to load in. Down from 8.

Well at least no fool at my pool doing some foolish fishing or something. Pool is for SWIMMING!

I actually had an insane load time again today. This was loading into my save on the NMSCord Hub Space Station. After going to a neighbour system without bases, to then restart and then teleport back to the Hub SS, time was fine again.

So basically two situations possible when it comes to 'time it takes'.

• Already being in the hub system, to then just load your save.
• Coming from another (no base) system after fresh load into the game, to then teleport to the hub system.

So its something IN our system.. or just the sheer volume of all the bases that we have there that might be doing it? That still sounds so odd because during expeditions you can run into a WHOLE LOT of bases.. but don't see the slow down time or anything.

On Eardog Sigma from the Liquidators Expedition there is a very aggressive sea creature

They are super rare but I want a planet with just fish and maybe birds but NMS Subnautica. I got into this game after playing Subnautica for a few years straight and while I love the more technical basebuilding in NMS my love for marine biology wasn't captured by NMS very well. And by love I mean I went to school for marine bio so Subnautica is kinda the shit.

I just need to make an evil fish observatory on a planet somewhere

Gunter periodically makes a random post of bases registered for the hub, and it could be a case where the base was removed in game but the entry here on the server was not updated/removed.

It could be a case where each planet has a fixed number of uploads that can be seen at a time, and other bases that have been uploaded more recently could have replaced it in the viewable list.

It was some build mod back in the days which allowed use of some ingame assets (it is actually vykeen settlement tower if i remember correctly, tuned up with some decors) that are not normally available in building mode
