Yeah, but I mean until Hello Games decides to "fix" the issue y'gotta be smart about things.

Most I ever do is flattening a bit just to make things nice, even if the terrain restored itself it won't affect much of the main base because it was already built on fairly flat terrain.

Aight I'd say the new mecha, Garudis, is finished for the most parts, I gave it some bit of painting and built its internal systems and all, now it's just the small bits and bobs that I need to add around the area like landing pads, oh and also the cobalt mining operation hehe

That's almost certainly too small for Minotaur fights anyway.

You would probably need the entire 2000u radius of a fully-expanded base boundary, and even then, I'd probably mix in some elevation to make the Z axis a little more relevant.

The biggest obstacle for some of these builds is that boundary line. Like, forget trying to build a two-base racetrack. The engine isn't set up to accommodate that sort of thing.

@onyx ibex you’re gonna want supports every so often then so that the track looks like it’s staying “UP”. And my experience in the roamer here.. the track is currently too high off the island. In a Roamer if I don’t “make” that jump then its not possible to get back on. JUST my two cents 🙂

And unfortunately because of network. You can’t rely on the “boosters” on the ground loading in. Sometimes they do sometimes they don’t. To save on base parts.. I would recommend you just CONNECT the islands and build over the water. When on land.. just some guides for where to go forward perhaps.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to drop in a introduce myself. I'm Emma

I'm enjoying doing a lot of exploring these days and finding unique worlds. Not sure if it's been done all the way yet before, but I have a plan/idea to find "Eden Worlds" with perfect weather near galactic center of all the galaxies and build bases at portals on each of the worlds. Tedious, yes. Time consuming, yes. But also fun! Would be a nice little network of teleports for folks to get around in if I'm able to complete it all. If anyone has any tips to speed up the process I'm all ears.

#3...to find paradise planet...look for starbulb they are usually found on such planets...
For perfect paradise...weather should have attribute saying...mellow/fresh Breeze etc...no storms....

#4...making a base at portal is NOT RECOMMENDED as you base might get displaced or simply go above or under or simply lost as portals are public places and game coding tried to keep them clutter free...so if anyone else visits your base it may not be visible at all ... Better make a small outpost near a portal atleast 1000u away.

Thanks for the tips! I didnt think the game behaved like that for players that near to portals. I will need to rethink my strategy slightly to accomodate that I think.

The 'bases' Im building are fairly simple, save beacon, teleporter, battery, solar panel, base computer.

Finding the planets hasn't been too hard with my freighter scanner. However, Im trying to understand how stellar class relates to the likelihood of paradise worlds. So far I have been first contact on a paradise planet with no weather in both Euclid and Hilbert near galactic center. Onto the 3rd today :).

Definitely good to package all your tech in your ship, mulitool, and exosuit before travelling through to the galactic center.

They show the temperature of the star 4-6 are very likely to contain a paradise type planet

In star classification label you see on Galaxy Map, the 1st letter denotes the star type

The rest could be fluff for all we know, there's no data to support any connection between those numbers and gameplay mechanics

@ivory matrix and I got SO much done so far. Mmm GekBall 3.0 is EVEN better than the original!

A lot of the issues from the past games were addressed @wide ore ! For example:

1. no more worrying about yeeting. Glass dome.
2. Power doors will seal from a console when both teams are on the field. so the ball won't get stuck.
3. REferee has control over the ball summoning which should help with keeping the game moving.
4. Improved lighting and asethics for the stands (including I think @ivory matrix is doing noise when they score!)

Come visit the gulag! It's one of a kind prison facility for naughty travellers getting caught red-handed.

• The Pit: In this shot you can try to see how deep the pit of despair goes. It's super dark, under normal Red's Dungeon weather conditions (if not in photo mode).
• Courtyard: Daytime & nighttime views with the watchtower overlooking it.
• Basketball Court: where lower security inmates can get a recreational workout during their 1-hour break outdoors. Daytime & nighttime.
• Scary moment: Me running away from a high security inmate that broke out. Thankfully, the AI mech caught them in the end.
• Workout area: Me resting after an intense night workout, while the inmates slept.
• Dining table: Nighttime shot while Laylaps helps with security, inspecting things....
