well here's some interesting news:

apparently in my quest to find a way to voice chat with the rest of you in game and get the words ON the screen without being in a group, I came across a windows built in live transcription app

I haven't tried it in NMS yet... but am hopeful to! while I know that the speech to text works IN groups.. I am wondering what it does when out of a group in the game

The weirdest thing with it is that I have to position it somewhere on the screen.. and it won't change color to tell me if there's more than one person speaking.

If and when i go to move it, heh it pops back out to the desktop and then I have to get back into the game. But still.. it worked with a discord phone call running in the back

I think the game only can load a certain number of bases in each system 🙂 I was visiting a friend's base once and it didn't appear until 3 reloads later

it shouldn't ne gone but then again that means I need to upload it again. the game doesn't LEAVE player persistant bases.. they have to be continually uploaded for them to show

yeah the number is 13. thats how many bases will only ever show up at one time unless you leave the system.. and reload again

Second good new: it's official, after more than one month, I can finally play NMS!

The Singularity patch is now available on switch, patching my crash problem.

I have another bad new.

The patch didn't actually fix my problem. In fact, it did nothing at all. I am only able to play on other worlds and on expedition, but my true world is doomed. My save file is stuck inside of the test base i built in the hub, and every time i load the save, it crashes. However, if one day I recover my save file correctly, I will be able to unlock the expedition rewards since I can progress on the expedition.

Remember to use the #998315852841619620 bot to check/claim your base location on the planet map, so that you don't overlap space with other player and they don't overlap with you - not every base loads in every time you go to populated systems, so it's easy to accidently place bases too close and cause conflicts.

Nah, I finished the expedition in 2 days. I began Utopia when there was 5 days remaining, and I finished it.

Once you will have to make the choice (ignition milestone in the 5th phase), go to your ship and come out from your ship to make a restore point. Then select 1 of the 2 choices, doesn't matter which one, then reload your restore point. Select the other choice, and go to the Quicksilver synthesis robot in "expedition rewards" and claim the other head.

When I last closed my game, I was in that game.

If the base got deleted, NMS can't load correctly because I am in an area that does not exist anymore.

In my save file, it is written "Inside LastL Test Base"

@blissful stratus So, the game wont always display every base that is present on the planet, it picks about the top 20 to display. We've got a bot (subchannel to this one) that can register your base locations, and also check to see if there are other players already in that spot. Running the bot helps prevent overlap and conflict between base properties. It can be a bit tricky to use the first time, so feel free to ask for help getting it going.
