You are completely fine sir. When you check in your visor if you can’t see base markers then you are far enough. IF you can see.. just look at the distance from your scanner

You can just build another base, however deleting a single part refunds all mats, deleting an entire base refunds half of all mats for objects built at the time, retrievable from Base Salvage Capsule. (Deleting a base for 1st time where mats become available from it automatically unlocks the blueprint to build at other bases)

You shouldn't put down a base computer there, it's a poi after all

So we should just regularly upload our 2dc

And tell people that it is a marker for the portal

I want you to understand clearly how the rules are. If you build a base and you are BLOCKING a POI so that other players cannot use it, that is discouraged. While we DID make 2DC as a waypoint for people, it won’t show up for everyone regardless. It’s how bases work despite the fact that we keep uploading it. 13 bases will show and that list is always in flux.

Bet you ten to one Porter didn’t even SEE the base when he was there. Which is such a weird system for how bases show up.

As far as I know of.. there are at LEAST 5 base computers already at the portal from 5 different players heh

just putting down a base computer (which is not uploadable) is never an issue tbh.

if you have an uploadable base that you want other players to see, then you've got various restrictions to take into account. if it's a Portal, technically, the game shouldn't display the base to other players (unless they're in your group or lobby, there's a potential they could see it, but can make it disappear from their save if they report it).

there's also a limit of bases players can upload per account (that's correct, per account, across all of a player's saves for a single account). only the latest uploaded base, per planet, per account could be visible to other players.

and a Hub system like NMSCord also has a somewhat confusing and unpredictable restriction of a maximum number of bases ODS loads for a player who's not in a group or multiplayer lobby. it's an average of 18 (+/-) bases, the latest ones uploaded by players

Someone liked a base pic that Gunter shared from louvre from the discord hub. I mentioned it was the Discord Hub, check the Discord. They don't use discord and asked for coords. Do we not wave the coords around for the Discord Hub on, say, twitter as such? Seemed something to consider. @wide ore ?

I know in the beforetime we kept the coords for the Galactic Hub quite hush hush.

yes, you can still visit our NMSCord Hub and build there -- for which i recommend reading this pin for guidelines: #nmscord-hub message -- and/or see some of our bases. sadly, we can only load the latest 18-20'ish bases uploaded to ODS (as in bases that were most recently uploaded via a base computer to HG's online discovery services).

i wish all the bases we've built there would show for everyone, but ODS has a (somewhat confusing) limitation with the number of bases it feeds to your game (some of us assume the limitation may have something to do with performance and the number of base parts in the system). here's some info on that as well in this pin: #nmscord-hub message
