Yeah had to be ice fish, and ahhhh that's why. The lure makes it way easy. Took me 15 minutes to get the fish

typically the two go hand in hand, but you're looking for rusted metal as a resource on the list for the planet, or any synonyms for "dead" as the biome description

so @vapid heron is slightly incorrect here, airless planets tend to have low gravity, but not all low gravity planets are airless

honestly I use my bases as ways to mark places & teleport to them easily, sometimes for resources, sometimes for important structures (portal, etc) sometimes expeditions require it, but usually for the hell of it, I actually mainly "live" out of my freighter, and only occasionally use corvettes in the sense that I swap to my corvette while at a station (or at anomaly) for some quick access to stuff I may want/need, otherwise I do prefer freighter (for a "base") or flying in my usual ship

you just need to have it equipped, save and return to primary, and copy it using exp terminus. now, you can do this at any time, as long as you havent ended expedition yet.

I think it's point less considering this expedition is focused on Freighters and you can use a starship; unless your corvette is maxxed out with a good superchraged slot layout you want to copy back to build into something else then it may be pointless

Just an FYI for anyone who doesn't know I have found out you can copy both the tool and a ship maxed out for 5000 nanites, it's 2200 for a max tool and 2800 for a max ship, even a Corvette

Also my first expedition was the previous breach and when i tried to copy the corvette I made there it said it transferred but it shows an empty ship instead of my corvette. Someone said to copy it again and it worked but now I have a ship with the same name that is empty.

If you mean putting tech in tech slots I'd assume yes only because i haven't done that yet if you mean put tech and cargo in the cargo area i'd say no it would not copy any of that it gets processed into units and nanites na dis why people used the end expedition trick depending on what they wan to bring back

If you have a extra corvette you don't want i would suggest stripping it down to the most basic parts and then trade it with a NPC's ship which you can salvage to get some units and free up the slot

Regarding the end expedition trick to bring back items multiple times is a glitch/exploit that shouldn't be able to happen right. So I guess to be as legit as one can be the best method to bring back more tech other than the 8 slots is to install it on MT and ship and copy them multiple times?

Once you finish all 5 phases of the expedition then you can put items back in the expedition terminal for your return

When you go to the discoveries tab it should say that the xxxx servuce is unavailable, then warp to systems. If it doesn't say offline/unable to conmect then you are still on. I did it yesterday. @hollow shale

offline is not the same as disabled multiplayer, offline automatically disables multiplayer, but just turning off multiplayer won't make you offline, the easiest way is to turn off wifi, or if you're playing through steam, click the steam icon at the top, then click "go offline"

I'm playing on Linux using a Gog Galaxy install to make the whole thing work.... so it's a pita to actually go offline.

I think I found a workaround though.
My original game starting area is in the middle of nowhere, so I'm going to gate over to it with my expedition character and try system hopping there.

ah, if you're using gog, then just shutting off wifi for your entire system would be your best bet to do the milestone, or potentially just travelling far enough away from where people have been to find undiscovered ones, which may need multiple black hole jumps if one didn't work

Icy Veins: Rdv1 system (Loparve) has a suitable planet (Wudleso Gmma), use rarity bait e.g. Mealworms, only fish with rarity=uncommon or higher with "icy and frozen waters" in description count.

As far as i remember, while you are doing the quests, one of the galaxy you went on should have a lifeless planet. so try to search by using the "discovery"
