be absolutely 100% sure that you have the right elixir of blood type on you

it will not work if the glyphs in the breach milestone title and the glyph in the elixir of blood name do not match

do not have any elixirs of blood on you of the wrong type for the breach milestone you're working on

for example, for breach 2, you need the elixir of blood learned when hewn from light milestone of the same phase was claimed

Tips for finding them:

• 1) Try to locate Dissonance Resonators - some of them will be guarded by large quadrupeds.
• 2) Alternatively, you can start a fight by just looting a Gravitino Ball, and escalate wanted level to level 3, when large quadrupeds can spawn.

Tips for taking them out:

• 1) Install Paralysis Mortar+Primary weapon of choice(+3 S-class upgrades). Locate and approach a corrupted quadruped. If there's any floaters around kite them away first (mine something nearby so that they'll go investigate, leaving you alone with the quadruped). Shoot Paralysis Mortar at quadruped to stun it, re-applying stun as needed, while shooting primary weapon.
  Bonus: Unlock and install Voltaic Amplifier from Space Anomaly/Multi-tool research NPC for +21% damage vs stunned entities.
• 2) Use Minotaur+Minotaur Cannon.
• 3) From the air, especially if your current ship has hovering capabilities, for example using Rocket Launcher.

There are a handful of glitched planets in the systems you get taken to in the expedition, just visit a previous system and scan the planets from space, glitched planets only have one glitched creature

Did you visit the space station in each new system? It's always best practice to never leave a system without visiting the station, otherwise you'll need to enter the portal address, someone linked an image with the addresses if you scroll up

Some milestones require you to have something, most milestones require you to obtain something in a specific way. In this case you have to pick them up from the environment. They'll be on planets with "activated" metals (usually, but not always). They are pretty abundant, so if you don't see them while flying during a storm, they probably aren't on that planet.

ok so this storm finally crystals showed up but as I ran towards them I got blasted up in like tornadoes and when I tried tunnelling to it I made it to one just as the storm finished and it disappeared...

Looks like griefers are at it again. Some of them have discovered how to get Derelict Freighters to spawn on planets to make things difficult. If one of these is blocking your progress, disable Multiplayer, create a restore point, and reload it. It should disappear.

You can check by logging in to any save and checking the Online Discovery Services to make sure it is Active. It is under the Options Menu> Discoveries Tab.

As long as you started the Expedition from the Terminal in the Space Anomaly you can use that terminal to transfer items back. Those slots unlock after you have completed and claimed all Milestones in the Expedition.

If you started from an Existing save at the end you can load and transfer items back via the terminal multiple times. Load Terminal> Save> Options Menu 'Return to primary save'> Unload terminal, copy Ship/Multi-tool> Save> Visit Terminal 'Resume Expedition'> Load Terminal> Change Active Ship/Multi-tool> Save> 'Return to primary save' (Repeat as needed).

It's not automatic, and it does cost nanites to do. You have until the next expedition to make a copy of either at the expedition terminal, though it's being kinda buggy so you may want to make sure.

If you have the ability to save hack, you can also flip a quick switch in the json to put yourself back into the expedition ("ActiveContext": "Season") and grab anything you may have missed. This will have the side effect of re-rewarding all the units and nanites you got the first time you ended the expedition, so it may feel like cheating a little.

Depends on what you're asking. Your NEW expedition save starts the same way everyone else's does, with the exception that your current appearance is copied over. Meanwhile your OLD save is basically waiting at the terminal waiting for you to finish the expedition.

I feel like the ship was 4k and the multitool was less, like 2k? Your units and nanites from your expedition save are added to your main save when you end it, so that will help with the purchase. You can copy them at any point before the next expedition rolls around, but I would do it sooner rather than later given the strange issues happening right now.

That's what I do. Worth noting however that the ship from this expedition is actually an account-wide unlock, which means you can claim it at the QuickSilver vendor on your main save as well. Same price I think.

Assuming you mean the tech modules, yeah you can store them and send them in the top row of the terminal. Not too many slots for them, but once you have finished all the milestones but BEFORE you fully end the expedition, you can put items in the terminal then switch back to your main save and retrieve items. I sometimes have a lot of items I like to send back and it may take me a couple trips.

Unfortunately if you have not opened No Man's Sky in a while, you will not see an expedition right now because their servers are down. There's a workaround for this, but only if you're on PC or some other platform where you have access to the filesystem. Attached is the file that is generated when nms is able to talk to HG servers. Putting this file in your cache folder will allow you to play The Cursed expedition.

Put that file in a folder similar to one of the below:

Hey, I'm a relatively new player to No Man's Sky and I'm trying to do this Expedition 16 redux event and I think I may be having a weird bug but because of the sort of trippy hallucinatory nature of the event I'm also not sure if it's working as intended

I get to the second portal and attempt to activate it but suddenly my sense of gravity gets all messed up and it's like I'm going to fall off the planet, the ground goes completely vertical. I manage to climb in my ship and take off and I realize that where the portal was, there's now a huge derelict freighter just...sticking out of the ground. I get a quest to explore the derelict freighter and I go through it, getting absolutely hammered with those purple squid ghosts the entire time, until I finally get all the salvage and get the instructions to go back to the station and pawn it off

I returned to the portal and the derelict was gone, I attempted to interact with it again, it had me put in glyphs (I had no idea what to put in so I kind of picked ones at random) and then it gave me an in-game error message and said it was going to approximate the coordinates. At this point, I do think I had a bug because the game kind of locked up and I had to reload my save from a couple minutes prior

There are others throughout the expedition. You can look at your discoveries in the pause menu and see the planet types in systems you've visited. Hopefully you went to the space stations so you can teleport revisit them, if not the portal glyphs for each system are in the pins

At the end of the year we get a redux version of the new ones run that year. Beachhead got a re-redux last time out of the blue. If you're on PC or some other platform that gives you access to the filesystem you can play older expeditions with a hack, but aside from that they don't really seem to come back. It's entirely possible they will open them all up some day, especially since the game development is slowing down in favor of their new title. But really it's anybody's guess.

Yeah. Though right now if you are unable to start the expedition the only way is to do the hack/workaround, which is to put an expedition settings file in your cache directory, which is how you do it for other expeditions (though you have to stay offline while you play the old expeditions), so I wouldn't really call it cheating, since you still have to actually play the game. You can, of course, just save hack to get all the rewards, which I would definitely call cheating 😆

will work just fine

remember to sell both crew manifest and captains both to scrap dealer

that'll be enough tainted metal for the milestone, wont have to loot a single crate/locker/suitcase

I used the Neutron Canon and Paralysis Mortar. I also had the Voltaic Amplifier installed for bonus damage to Stunned Enemies. Stun, shoot them a few times, and stun again if needed. You could also use the Pulse Spitter or Scatter Blaster with the Paralysis Mortar. The stun is the important part...

From what I am reading the Cursed will end Wednesday and the Titan Expedition will start right after...correct? Does anyone have ideas of what to add to the locker? Is it heavy combat, fishing? I have not seen anything about it.

Game mode explained:

Expeditions are an alternate time-limited, season-like game mode with a set of challenges rewarding exclusive items that can be claimed in any and all of your saves, in any game mode account-wide.

To get past expedition rewards, you must wait for possible future expedition re-runs (see past expeditions) or possible future Twitch Drops campaigns featuring old expedition rewards (see past campaigns). You may also obtain certain rewards via other unconventional means, including ship trading or using a "service bot" in the Creative Hub Discord. Additionally, PC players ( ) can get past rewards via save editing or #nms-modding.

double/triple check that there isn't another portal marker already up on a different planet in the system; try disabling multiplayer and then save+reload from main menu, then recheck for marker/use another quicksilver
