how do I fix frigates?
If you haven't unlocked portals, if you need the cargo augments, do the missions thing
In your frieghter there is a terminal you can examine your fleet, which you can examine frigates, choose the frigate you want to repair, press teleport to frigate, then proceed to each marked point to repair them
First time taking this type of mission, am i missing something? I see no freighter cargo pods anywhere
so im trying to setup my first gas collector and im wondering how the supply depot thing works. it says it allows travel over "long distances" but doesnt it still have to be within the base limits?

eventually you can make more bases dedicated to extracting specific resources too, but main one is also a good idea

if you can place it near a trade outpost, it can be particularly useful to sell stuff at a better price (and with that said, probably want it to be in a tier 3 economy system)

Has to be in base limits, otherwise you won't be able to place the storage silos.
Then text is just referencing that you can pipe it a long distance within the limit, it's not too hard to pipe from one end of the circle to the other by daisy chaining
A lot of people do that to get 2 or 3 hotspots resources to move the silo they interact with to loot them closer to the teleporter

I'm confused I was buying a ship off an npc and I noticed my ship had all my materials in it. WIth this said I quick moved everything in that ships invetory so I could get a discount on the npc's ship where did that stuff go I can't find it?

how do I get better missions from the bounty master
pirate bounty master? just keep doing them and raise your outlaw level
do them all. i just spammed them until i hit max
smuggled good involves going to another system, so that's probably one of the slower ones
well I want to get expensive smuggled goods, but do you know which one is the fastest mission to complete
killing the pirates was easier for me cause it was pew pew. and the hitting a freighter usually just involved a quick pulse drive
about the same as normal bounties for the races and guilds.

well I was only asking because I found out that if you take the smuggled goods mission and get the supplies. Right after you can cancel it in the logs menu (not from the bounty or it bugs) yet you still keep the supplies
So, if I max out the bounty level, the goods will be worth crazy amounts
eh, there's better ways to make money honestly
you can setup a Mineral farm on a planet with activated indium, for instance (does require you buy the tech from the Anomaly to make it) but with a few containers and a few miners you can farm thousands of it and sell it in a non-blue star system for a decent chunk of change

or ... setup a nipnip farm in your own freighter and make herbal crunchies (i do 400 a pop and it sells for 20-30 million for relatively little time sink every day)

planetary mineral farms work as long as you have power to keep the machines going. a bunch of solar panels or an electromagnetic generator

you connect the feed pipes between all the extractors, 1 pipe to the nearest container, then connect all the containers together

they meant connecting all the extractors with pipes, then all the containers with pipes.... you only need 1 pipe between the lot to feed everything but it will transmit all farmed minerals into the containers and fill them all over time
you need the 'Survey Device' Multitool technology installed

Ah yes, that works, but I don't even do that lol, I glitch build my silos to stack them on top of each other so I don't waste my object quota on pipes
no need to glitch build if that's all the particular base does
about the only type of base you need to personally AFK in is the ranching base... cause the animal product collectors don't work unless you're there cause animals are weird like that

Stack glitch is much easier to do than to drag pipes between them
Yes, but you gonna stack them so their models overlap. Normal stacking (the one that makes them line up like organ pipes) don't, or at least didn't for me when I tried it
This is also why you should build different clusters of extractors a little bit apart so they don't accident overlap and connect to each other

also my cycle finished and only the first extractor went into it. so it looks like you do need 1 pipe per extractor. atleast thats how its making it work for me.

That's a telltale sign that your silos are not connected to your exteactora

Double check if silos have a faded icon of nitrogen in the content window, or if it's literally a black box

Try tearing down the pipes and reconnect them
also (and just in case) ensure you're not trying to connect them in free placement

My corvette is always made as small as possible, but doorways between hab units always loses me two wall points, so I have to use morenhab units to compensate

How bad does settlement debt tend to get before it actually starts recovering?
Even as a vertical stack, you cannot place the landing bay and cockpit at the dead center of the corvette, plus a wall would be there. My pipe dream is to have a hab unit that is exactly twice as wide as the hab units we have now, but all 4 walls have build points, plus being able to centre the cockpick and landing bay doors.
If you focus your upgrade on the most profitable buildings (i.e. anything that isn't residential buildings), id reckon they'd go not much more than double that before you start recovering, keep going and you will get them out fairly soon after

Do not worry about the dept... It does not affect your balance... As long as you keep building and upgrading the settlement, it be ameliorated and eventually disappear altogether. Small tip: do not send your settlers on expeditions, you get a few nanites but your pop will not grow as fast and thus the settlement's buildings will not be working in full force...

Meh... It's ok, don't worry about it... Settlements play a minor role in the game, they are more like a side side quest. Also... If you wish you can place your three air harvesters right outside your main building and harvest some air (nitrogen, sulphurine or radon depending on the planet type). This way, whenever you visit the settlement for upgrades, you will gather some (up to 750) of the local air for your storage and maybe your high end productions

I think that's the Trace of Metal questline. I don't remember if you learn to craft a minotaur during that quest but it does teach you to craft some extra minotaur parts you can't learn elsewhere.

You can also refine the larvae into nanites, give some pirate transponders to the guild representative at a space station to raise your status, and refine your jn (at the top right corner) to runaway mould, then to nanites

If you refuse you stay in Euclid, if you reset you will be offered a choice of four galaxy types red=hostile, blue=dead, cyan=normal, and green=lush.
and you can go back to euclid at any time from those other galaxies, too

If you reset, when you go to the new galaxy all your tech in ship, MT, and exosuit will be broken and will need to be repaired.

Yes. There are 4 galaxy types. Out of the 255 galaxies in the game 70% are normal and then dead, hostile, and lush are 10% each. Lush = far more lush planets in yellow systems, dead = a lot more dead worlds in yellow systems, hostile = a lot more extreme weather and hostile sentinels and higher conflict ratings so more pirate attacks and whatnot.
You can uninstall all your tech before committing to your choice...any packaged up tech will not be damaged.

Lush seems to be the most popular one as it means lots more lush and paradise worlds. Not many want to go to hostile or dead galaxies.

If you want to go to a lush galaxy the easy way you can refuse the Atlas, stay in Euclid, then go to the Anomaly and of the 5 featured bases one is in Eissentam(galaxy 10, lush) and one is in galaxy 19(also lush). If you do it that way then no tech damage. If you want normal galaxy you can just stay in Euclid, it's normal. But if you want dead or hostile then you'll have to rough it through the damage from the quest choice.

If you cannot do expeditions under 24 hours without SCing the expedition speed, expedition speed, otherwise defence

i had never done a derelict at the time. i was just pirate killing and destroying freighters and i checked to see all these modules from the same freighter is that normal?
For my freighter I choose speed...but that's also in part because I have insane maxed out S class frigates...like full on level 10 frigates with 55+ expeditions under their belt. And with all the other non supercharged frigate tech installed in my freighter I generally hit full 150 stats across the board with pretty much any 3 of my frigates.

But supercharging speed greatly reduces expedition length...like even 28+ hour expeditions will finish in like 4 to 6 hours at most.

Due to the 5 daily missions limit, I'd say 12 hours is good enough for all but the very fringest cases
Uhm, depends...it is very useful when you want to do all 5 expeditions in a day with the same few frigates...like I was when I was leveling up my frigates. And they keep gaining stats until they completed 55 expeditions even if they're S class.
is it just super rare that freighters drop their modules? cause this was the one and only time killing a freighter gave me freighter tech
I think only pirate dreadnaughts drop S modules reliably and only if they didn't surrender first I think. If you want o destroy them then don't take out their engines so they don't try to surrender.
I was under the assumption that destroying any freighters drop s rank techs regardless, but I never raided civilian freighters.
I always just repeatedly kill the dreadnought in systems that's guaranteed to spawn the fight
well i got these when i was killing in a pirate system for money. just normal contraband freighters not a pirate one.

A fun fact, for the exact same freighter, the expedition timer and hyper drive techs will have the exact same stats, they only vary when you kill different freighteta

i saved a freighter and as payment the moment i killed the last pirate it turned on me at the same time as hailing me. this is the 5th time something like this has happend in the last few days. i think its a bug. and no i didnt shoot anything cause i make sure i dont fire if there is ANYTHING near my target.
If you had stored a body part in a starship cargo, they don't get removed properly, you now have a souvenir from that quest

Quarzite and activated from pruple star systems. There's a whole quest to unlock those. Likewise, Crystalize helium can only be found on gas giant planets, also purple star exclusive

I typically find NPC ships fairly often fly into my line of fire. HG seem to have fixed it a little over the past couple of years as it doesn't happen nearly as often as it used to, but it still happens sometimes.

if you save a freighter from pirates, the first one is free
though, actually unlocking that specific room requires seeking frigate modules, which arent easy to come by

You can do it slowly overtime using living frigates on frigate expeditions, if your voyage is successful enough you can get like half a stack to a full stack of eggs in a week without doing much of actively hunting for the thing

Turning a living ship into a main ship is a fairly time consuming activity, especially if you want cargo space

Personal recommendation: always choose cargo bulkhead for derelict freighter engineering terminal, the freighter tech is the worst choice out of tgem
For freighter tech, you are much better off farming dreadnoughts for them, they always drop one, and always S rank, derelict freighters are not guaranteed to drop S

If you can find a system with guaranteed dreadnought fight, then you just repeatedly kill that dreadnought to get as many s ranks as you want

Never let dreadnoughts surrender if you want their tech
If you kill them without them surrendering, they always drop a s rank, but there is a little of a time delay after they explode so be mindful of that, I think it's like 8 or so seconds?

Correct, you have to destroy all the shield generators and destroy their hull, it's faster if you destroy the fuses that come out of the shield generators afterwards
Don't bother with guns when destroying them, and don't touch the engines
They chew through the attacking freighters so fast though
But I guess once I get used to doing it that way it won't take much time at all
The freighters can survive 3 torpedo volleys iirc
with an almost maxed interceptor you should be able to destroy it just about fast enough before it warps away, I recently managed to destroy a few with like 5-2s left until warp
They only die on the fourth
I usually have like 20 seconds left on my timer on my interceptor

But if your ships weapon isn't strong enough, try destroying fuses, they will give you more time, if not, I'd recommend looking into upgrading the weapons

There are also some planets that have the features of Salvageable Scrap, but lack the two structures added in Remnant and don't say they have Salv Scrap. These planets most likely also have these rusted ship things, as they use the exact same regular object spawning table as the "new" ones

I hunt only freighters and organic frigates, since I can mod the odds of different ranks without completely throwing the rank mechanic out the window. E.g. if I set s rank go be guaranteed, I can be sure that every dreadnought I encounter is the same for everyone else, but I can't do that for crashed ships because it won't be the same for everyone else
The 1x4 SC layout dreadnought I am using is a personal find, my MTs are not, just a random examples
How rare are normal freighter battles? My last 13 encounters(without reloading) were just pirate dreadnoughts even if i warped into normal system
The chances of encountering them differs based on conflict level of the system, and systems that roll the chance to have a dread battle instead will always have dread battles instead

I don't think I ever found the exact chances, but Outlaw Systems always have dread battles, high conflict almost always, medium conflict quite often and low conflict super rare

if you want the best chance of a standard freighter battle pick a peaceful/tranquil system. any least conflict level you can find
In other words, the type of fight you will encounter in that system is pre-determined

Basically, you have to already own a freighter, as well as have encountered at least two freighter battles so far
once both of those are reached, they replace the freighter battles for most outlaw systems and all outlaw systems

Exotics are not bad, they are not the best at anything but they don't have many glaring weaknessrs
E.g. their shield strength is second only to haulers, their hyperdrive range I believe is next only to explorers, the damage is 4th but it's just due to the massive gap between 4th and 5th, and there manuverability is pretty decent too

These are the stat bonus % ranges for all of the ship types (corvettes match haulers)
These multiply that ending stat by that much %, so upgrades make these bonuses even more powerful
so exotic ones are pretty much the best allrounders?
Upgrades still matter a whole lot more of course, a fully upgraded C-Class shuttle will probably feel leagues better than a stock exotic ship

Kinda, you can refine Atlantideum (the resource you get from mining the crystals) with Pugneum (the resource that Sentinels drop) to get some nanites. There's also Radiant Shards which also refine into a few nanites but both aren't the craziest

and probably bugged out on landing/takeoff so maybe it's technically flying, idk

Probably due to the bug where switching between a normal ship and a corvette places it at a normal landing pad

You always have to repair the Pilot Interface
but after fixing that, they are undamaged when you claim them
A mission is given to you upon interacting with the sentinel ship that walks you through the repair
Just a addendum, the step that involves harmonising a brain cannot be started at all without having the 3 radiant shards and inverted mirror already in your inventory
So if the game keeps spitting out an error when interacting with a hyaline brain, check you have both the shards and mirror.
Also another addendum, every sentinel ship crashed site will have a broken robot at the back of it, which, when first interacting it, will require you to take something out of it in order to "feed" it.
Always loot that robot, it can sometimes yield a full stack of mirrors, which drastically cuts down needing to hunt down resonantors. You don't need to feed the robot, just take the stuff out and move on

for sentinel ships, that requires you to exchange them for another lifeform's starship, then hire the lifeform that now has your ship before they take off with it (saving before this to reload if something goes wrong is advised)
alr so i use the harmonic camps to locate sentinal ships, repair their console, (they alr have all the cargo slots repaired), i take those i can keep them or salvage

And remember to mark the Harmonic Camp with either a Save Beacon or claimed Base Computer, so that you can see where it is to return to it
because before this i was doing boring chlorine farms
the latter allows teleportation back to it, even without a teleporter built at it
ill prob put a save beacon because the space station is right above the planet anyways

This ship appeared while searching for crashed ships. Is it rare? It's the first time I've seen one like this (I started playing the day before yesterday).
Super rare, exotic ships are a 1 in 301 chance to spawn in place of any regular ship spawn

upgrade storage or remove everything with stats except things that needed to finalize corvette(it will keep all your unlocked slots)

there are parts(engines, hubs, landing thrusters and etc) that have stats
But if I remove them my ship won’t have them
you can see their stats by looking at them in building menu or inventory
you can place them back after you place all needed technology modules

go in build mode and remove them with X(idk how on console)
they will go in corvette storage on space station
It says I can only do it in corvette workshop but when I do it in corvette workshop it just gets rid of them
And they don’t stay on my ship
