Well, they have added corrupted sentinels too, and there are pirate NPCs in space. So we don't just fight sentinels. Not to mention monstrosities and bugs. HG have increased the enemy pool over time.

Oh I have maxed shields and HP....9x +34% shield modules and 9 hp...guess what happens if I'm caught in the blast radius of my grenades? HP and shields won't save you...not unless your grenade upgrades are weak...but I'm not nerfing my plasma launcher.

Multiple times have I aimed at myself and shot oncs with my current exosuit upgrades and all it did was wipe half my shield which can be regenerated relatively quick

Yeah...have to pack up and store all of your exosuit tech and swap to an empty multitool. Though be careful, going through a galactic center fucks up your corvette even if it's not your active ship. Its tech won't break if it's not the ship you crashed with but its tech will not only be scrambled but all of the corvette tech module bonuses will all change...they might improve but if you used all the best tech for engines and shields and so on, chances are your corvette will be significantly worse. And some tech you don't have options for...like the weapon modules and reactors...if those get worse it really sucks.

Honestly it's better to set up bio-domes for plants you want to grow. You get consistent harvests and you can harvest dome with one click.

Yes...others will be able to see your base and teleport there. At the anomaly teleporter if people have multiplayer active, random player bases appear and people can teleport there. So if you upload then your base/s will appear there.

Yes...there are a lot of ways to cheat...and many do. As for PvP, there is no real reason or incentive for it. You won't get any rewards or anything. And most people turn PvP off in the network settings so you can't hurt them.

Yeah the only downside to corvettes is their maneuverability, and that getting in and out of the ship is a little slower

I'd suggest focusing on the basic shape of it first and get all the habitation modules in the configuration you want, then start fleshing it out with decorative hull parts

You can always switch to free building mode if you don't want to deal with all the salvage and parts exchange

Kinda...your air will eventually run out, then your life support drains faster, then you take damage. It takes a while but technically possible. Shouldn't be a problem if you are adequately upgraded unless you afk.

As long as you don't indiscriminately loot all of the pods...that will tank your standing big time. But if you look at the contents of the pods before firing and only loot the salvaged frigate modules then it's fine. Best way to make standing is to take Nexus pirate missions...you'll face 3 waves of pirates...2, 3, and then 4....each wave defeated rewards 2 standing for a total of 6 from that one mission.

well I've hopped skipped and jumped into planet cores and always got shot out

Mods are just a liability. Might work fine now but you never know when they break something in the next update and screw up your saves...and you could restore backups...if you have backups from before the mods...which could be months or years old. That would cost me hundreds of hours of play and most of my play time purely put into progress. Even if I had missed expeditions...the risk of using mods is never worth it.

mods in NMS are closer to like resource packs in minecraft, we can't do fallout 4 your entire playthrough is bugged stuff

My NMS save is still the same save I started on August 8th 2016, when NMS launched...extremely few saves have survived from back then. you can do this once per each reward per save
