The expo terminal was only introduced with Omega, meaning all of the previous unique items could not be collected on one save.

Having done this myself throughout february and march, I am hoarding almost every item/ship that was ever availible in the game on my main save now, including the singularity engine.

It was only availible on Polestar expedition saves yes, and back then no anomaly terminal existed so you had to start in on a new seperate save.

Thanks to the terminal I was able to do all of the expos from my main save and bring over their stuff, even the pre-Omega ones.

I even copied over the Cartographers Exotic which has unique tech found nowhere else in the game.

We might get a freighter update at some point...that might also affect frigates. Though what a freighter update might entail, only god and Sean know. Might not include building freighters/frigates but you never know. I am hoping for a 3rd type of derelict freighter where you can fix it up and get it functional and ghost frigates like the unique expedition reward frigate "Ship of the Damned"...those could be good in the normal game but more importantly they would be a divine addition to Abandoned mode. Or use the hidden Alien trait of the living ships to find living freighters...can you imagine how awesome that would be? Literally everyone who's been neglecting living ships would scramble to get one.

I feel like Derelicts could generally be spiced up a bit, they have been pretty bugged for me recently too, with the logs often being placed inside of walls or invisible.

Haven't had those invisible...except maybe once? When I was collecting all the derelict lore logs I had one freighter I could never find the log off...and I checked side rooms and none were flagged as inside wall on that one...it just wasn't there. If it was invisible it also didn't have a scan tag...it just didn't have the credentials for the second terminal...ultra rare thing...only happened once.

I don't really have any desire to play Permadeath. Did it once to the center for trophies and titles, and I did the Permadeath expedition. Only had one intentional death in the expedition because it was forced in order to get milestone and to get off the planet. Outside of that no deaths...though I came really close to biting dirt when I went to the center. I was setting up my ship for warping and when I was mining Emeril a predator spawned behind me, snuck up on me and bit me...only hit took all my shields and 2 of 3 hp points. Luckily I was standing literally next to my ship...like at literal arms length. And when I jumped in I had enough emeril for the drive so I just gtfo of there.

There was a time where we had a massive community and city in a star cluster. We had voice on and had our own roles in society. Everyone had a purpose. Then suddenly everyone vanished. Me just floating around empty cities now.

Never liked depending on or playing with others. I set up all my own farms and everything and frankly I have never heard or seen even entire communities make better farms. My Stasis Device farms produce 120 Stasis Devices per day with about 30 minutes of refining which sell for ~1.87 billion. I can afford everything and do everything on my own. Playing with others is distracting. I can't focus on the large scale projects I am working on.

Different ways of playing. I could easily make things like that myself though the purposes of these communities were completely different. It wasn't about min-maxing gameplay and finding the rarest finds. It was about being immersive in a surreal world where you can walk into a local diner or bar and just talk to people about different topics. Especially if you had a VR set. It was like walking around city doing familiar things.

I play casually now because there is little reason for me to play. If an expedition comes out then I do it. Once it is done, I leave the game again.

By design this game is meant to be played alone and I think the only reason why this game had multiplayer later was because they needed to find ways to help get the game out of its rut in the early years. What I see is an issue with the multiplayer being bare bones and I think it was intentional. There is no true multiplayer experience in this game because everything is open.

I max everything in the game. Since Xeno Arena came I spent a lot of time maxing out all the faction medals for the 20 player titles and to unlock the reward pets, then I collected 16 SSS pets, bred and gene edited them, and I'm not done. Rerolled all the previous expedition reward pets I could into SSS, now waiting for them to mature so I can breed them, move eggs to my main save, gene edit them, and then I need to collect and do all that for 5 more SSS pets from the wild. And then I gotta level them all up to level 30. I fully intend to have a pretty damn ultimate pet lineup of 24 fighters and then some extras.

Here in Europe when I meet CS students and they learn I have been in the field for a long time I get barraged with questions and words of wisdom. If you have the companion for more than 24 hours (real time) and take them to their native biome type, you can induce an egg.

You can then put that egg in the egg sequencer and use materials to increase the size of the offspring .

Not likely....you have the jetpack for that, you can upgrade it quite a lot and with the right food in the nutrient ingestor you can reach pretty much any height. No reason for a grappling hook to exist.
