We do have this in our To Do list. I was trying to evaluate the way we have LFG vs stream (go-live) channels organized as part of the effort. Your particular request was specific to go-live, correct? One of the updates I was thinking of including was merging the go-live text chat channels, to just one. Since those get a lot less traffic.

We wouldn't create extra NMS channels for this. We may be more open to the idea of creating temporary threads where more focused NMS conversations can happen though. I'll further discuss with the team. Main concern for me would be, the more channels/threads we have, moderating them requires more time and effort we may not be able to afford at this time.

Maybe change the #nms-lfg-or-trades title from the "trades" part to "needs" or "resources" (unless this would promote begposting?). It seems to mislead some players thinking it's for trades only, so they show up in #nms-questions instead. After all, there isn't any actual trading mechanic in the game at the moment.

Per the channel rules, we do discourage begposting. And trading is still possible with the current game mechanic; as in you can exchange goods and leave the game if the other player didn't meet their end of the bargain.

Also, to be fair, we'll still get people posting in other channels, when they're in need of xyz resource, regardless of what we name #nms-lfg-or-trades. That channel's name history is pretty extensive by now, and it's proven that channel names never seem to be a fool proof solution. I think it currently reflects its purpose as succinctly as possible.

We'll still take your suggestion into consideration as we re-evaluate the current setup of LFG in general (in combination with our LFG voice channels).

I don't know if it's already been suggested, but an opt-in role for the #nms-spoilers channel. It's somewhat annoying misclicking on #nms-the-future or #nms-fauna, not realising it, and reading an explanation of the end of the game.

Nothing against the people there, I mean they are keeping spoilers in the dedicated spoilers channel, it's just frustrating misclicking on it.

I'm not sure if or how that'd work out since it can also make the channel lists cluttered. And imagery restricted to OS emojis (as opposed to Discord emojis) are dependent on platform (eg. iOS vs Android) and leave a lot of room for personal interpretation that doesn't necessarily clearly define what a channel is for. However, we're still open to specific ideas or examples so the team can discuss.

Yeah, and part of the issue is that those emojis are OS dependent. So it's impossible to expect uniformity for what everyone is seeing, which is also in turn very subjective on their meaning. Some special characters and even emojis may not even show for some users depending on what platform they are.

If you're referring to a voice chat Activity called "Watch Together" (https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409342945687-Watch-Together-FAQ), it appears to be a feature that's still in Beta and not accessible to all users or all servers.
This Activity is part of an experiment, so some users may not have access to it.

For users who do see it, you may see the experiment in some servers, but not all.
