Not really helpful to look at their upfront damage rating because trash MTs can spawn with good tech and show a higher number than a good MT that spawned with trash tech. You want to try to find out the damage bonus that MT has separate from any tech it might have spawned with. A good way to test that is to strip it of all weapons tech and only add a plain Neutron Cannon...no modules or anything else at all. A near max damage bonus staff will have around 2150 damage. One of mine with like a 49.8% damage bonus or so has 2164.1 non supercharged and 2516.3 supercharged.

When you go through the portal, the freighter will stay, but you can warp is to you when you enter the system the black hole throws you into

You can't fly it into the black hole yourself but you will be able to call it on the other side if it has the drive for the star color you end up on the other side. You can fly it into a galactic center if it has the Temporal Warp Computer installed but you will spawn planetside with your active ship wrecked in the new galaxy...it does not save you from the damage of crossing into a new galaxy. Though the freighter itself takes no damage.

In the quick menu while flying your ship in space. But the freighter itself need the appropriate drive for the system type independently of your ship. So if your ship has the Indium Drive and you go to a blue system, you can only call your freighter there if it has the Temporal Warp Computer that allows it to enter blue star systems.

You can also call your freighter in orbit when you are walking around on a planet too.

When i warp to a new system with my Dreadnought , the game sometimes spawns multiple Dreadnoughts in that system. I can crash into the shield generators and fuel rods to destroy them. Then the dreadnoughts will attack me if i shoot at them

it really helps the grayscale on my monitor. I tend to keep mine on despite it being an eye sore on gas giants

prob just isnt calibrated to your monitor. an easy trick is hold a piece of office paper next to your monitor and balance the white scale with that

its one of those things where it makes warmer colours sexy and vibrant and tasty but any colours consisting of alot of blue light will just be painful

theres one specific planet on star wars the old republic that is absolutely BLINDING with hdr on

but if you have an oled or something HDR is VERY very worth it

other monitors, it just depends if you realistically want your screen to be brighter than SDR or not

i got a tv I use as a monitor and an old hp which neither support it lol

but yea, pretty standard now

also depends on your panel and what kind of HDR you have to equate to wether or not the HDR looks poo or not

some are just wayyy too contrasty or wayyy too washed out because of the panel its on

witih or without tweaking

35 hours into mine i think?

started new after a 4 or so year break

so far the mech has been the most comfortable for traveling of what I've tried but idk if it's just cause the default car is that bad or not

In order of my personal preference now
Nomad -> Minotaur -> Colossus -> Pilgrim -> Roamer
The Nautilon they made important enough for surviving water worlds and general use that for water-based things it is much better now.

i havnt done any of the underwater stuff but looking at oceans and stuff they look sooo much better than they used to

they did a bunch of stuff very recently with Colossus that makes it kind of fun to use, or at least less bothersome. Nomad is the hovercraft yeah.

yeah especially since they added pure waterworlds with deep oceans (1,400 u or deeper) and it's kind of fun building a deep sea base
