The Nintendo framework is notoriously hard to port from other platforms. And you don't need a steam deck. Legion X and ROG Ally X are good enough for NMS.

Plus their hardware reads differently than Xbox and PS and Microsoft and Mac. Yeah they're different languages, but they're not that different from eachother. Think English to German to Itallian and then the Nintendo switch being a mix of Complex Chineese and Arabic and Farsi.

Then it shouldn't be the case, one thing you can try is to restart your router. Sometimes refreshing it can help. You can also try to connect to mobile hotspot, if it works then you might have to give your internet service provider a call, tell them your peer2peer multiplayer game doesn't work-
