That's so cool. Another game I play has storms and an idea I've put forward is that you should see storms on the horizon some times. It's totally calm here but you can see the storm and hope it's not coming this way. It's a very immersive effect, especially if the storm hits.

Yeah there is so much to do. With fishing or salvaging scrap alone you can fill days. Base and corvette building is a whole new level of creativity and timewaste if you look for that. Each autophage terminal has preset staffs for each head. Changing the head twice generates a random seed based on your current coordinates and you'll get a new staff variation generated for each head on that spot.

I just googled and found a reddit post that talked about it. Apparently the head of the staff determines which class a staff will have. And You can reroll all the stats of a staff by clicking assemble to see the stats, going back to the parts view, removing a piece, and adding a piece back. When you do this the stats/colors are no longer based on the station location and are instead based on player location. So if you don’t like it you can stand in a new spot around the station and do this and it’ll give you entirely different stats. Different terminals seem to give different results tho

yeah, and elevated bases are problematic, you need a teleporter at the ground level, and if your base is high enough above ground, the corvette spawns inside the base when you teleport to the base

there are acheivements you get while being in survival and permadeath... you also get titles for living on harsh worlds for so many SOLS (days)

i didn't fire up crative more than once, it felt weird and wrong somehow. I love the custom menu - crank all your enemies up

Most I build per spot is 4, some others will do more but it is best to make a second level above the first and do a whole new set. Just don't hook the two sets together.

Hotspots are like a cylinder extending up into the sky so as long as the extractors are over that point they will still collect, even if it is mining ones up in the air a ways.
