This patch has lots of fixes, but in particular it has a fix for a bug that was causing a lot of hangs/crashes on Xbox Series S/X:

#NoMansSky has had dozens of updates and hundreds of patches over the last 9 odd years, we’ve only had two bugs (including this one) that were this level of hard/bad - it was a particularly tricky class of GPU hang and the bug also had not been seen in testing. Apologies this one got through - the patch came out on Xbox about 4pm and although it’s early days, things are so far looking a lot better!

Tldr if you don't understand what a gpu hang is, it was basically freezing the GPU temporarily which sometimes caused console shutdowns

yes way. If you have a corvette where you can exit not only the cockpit seat but also go out of the ship fast, you can use your visor to scan the freighter, just fly a little bit closer and you can see the class of it. If it isn't S-tier, simply turn your ship around, fly out of range, and warp.

you must be outside the ship, however, you can't scan the class through the cockpit window or other windows, you must be looking directly at it

Portals only work in a galaxy because galaxies are not separate things. They are separate realities. Your freighter crew doesn’t follow you to a new galaxy, it’s your crew from that galaxy

no, I would find a pirate controlled system, like the one I gave the portal address to above (lower right of that picture), and warp back and forth to that one. Guaranteed spawn every time you come to it. Any random pirate controlled system has a chance of getting an event, some of them are guaranteed spawn every time.

To get that specific freighter, as in the exact supercharged slots and colour you have to go to that specific system

You can ofc go to any korvax system that spawns pirate dreadnoughts and claim it, but it will be a different dreadnought. It will looks very similar, possibly different colour and certainly different supercharged slots.

Also keep in mind that S class isn't guaranteed, it never is with freighters/dreadnoughts, you roll class each time it spawns

Since you started to turn around by yourself when the corvette turns around on landing

And if you hop out of the pilot seat. BUT if you on or offboard the corvette while its still moving, the auto turn keeps on forever.

Try to jump onto yours while you call it, and it still lands 😉

Some of the quests do not progress correctly if in a multiplayer group (can have multiplayer enabled, just cannot be in a group). If in a group, just leave it, and try again.

If you are the host, that is exactly what prevents the nonhost members from progressing.

Can regroup after the nonhost members progress (until next step that triggers this bug)

It used to be a gamebreaking block (nonhost members could never progress once the host marked it as progressed) but I don't think that is true any more. Use the suggestion above if simple progression is not re-enabled.

The good thing is you can happily reside in the same multiplayer instance as the person whose game you originally joined after leaving their group, and only need to regroup if leaving the star system (or going to Nexus Anomaly, not sure about that).

If I recall for that quest, you have to go from system to system, so just regroup to do that and then ungroup to progress each step.

my guess is that if this ever starts stops selling fresh copies, they're going to start putting out paid dlc's or additional paid cosmetics, my guess is that a huge part of the players would be just fine paying for dlc and stuff. If they were to not alienate anyone, they could add paid cosmetics, and continue their current release method, free content for every player, but pay to look different. I don't think they would suffer from lack of funding

personally, I wouldn't think twice about dropping $10 for a corvette style pack

Run derelict freighters, far faster than destroying NPC freighters. But it will be a while before you can run derelict freighter encounters, just be patient.

There is a dude on stations in the back right corner lower level that sells an item to find freighters that are broken in space, you farm those to get freighter upgrades
