if a planet has a yellow/red sky but also a chameleon filter that changes it, then I'll accept it. bubble blur was never a problem besides that one bug that let filters be visible in space.

a safer way to get to a lot of galaxies besides that or jumping through the core to get to the next one is to get taxiied, or stand by the portal in the anomaly and stalk for other's bases

by doing it that way it's basically like teleporting to a base. nothing gets damaged

They're quite quick to get (though not necessarily easy). Just anger the local sentinels and fight them until they send a walker after you. You can do it near a base of yours so you can hide and reload safely

find any planet with salvageable scrap, the salvage containers have corvette parts. Or you can just go into difficulty settings and turn crafting to free to build whatever you want for no cost

It takes about 2-3 hours to reliably get one or more of everything. You'll end up with wildly imbalanced distribution with some parts being singles and others being 30+ but you can use the advanced trade system to fix that

It's also extremely easy in the sense that there is no danger or difficulty. It just takes time and repetition

It's not that complicated, you just have to leave the starting system, dock with a space station, exit the space station, and then you can use your quick menu while flying your ship in space to call the Anomaly.

To learn the basic game mechanics, you will want a "normal" mode game, most likely. Follow the tutorial quests and it will help you learn the basics. There are tons of optional things to do as well, they tend to pop up over time.

And to do multiplayer, you need a save game already started (you then can join friends' games either from your platform (like Steam friends) or add NMS friends for crossplatform play. Once you have friends, they can join your game (if you set it up that way) also.

You can have multiple saves (usually used for different game modes or variations of various kinds). The only thing not saved in multiplayer group play is your location: the last single-player save point location is kept when you use a save for multiplayer group play. Note also that with multiplayer on, other players may randomly be present, but it is rare to see any unless you are in a popular location, or places in the game where players congregate. The base game quests are best done not in a multiplayer group, but multiplayer can be on without interfering with progress. There are also game quests designed to be done in multiplayer groups, as you will see when you unlock the Nexus Anomaly.

ridiculous how easy it is to get a good start in this game. im on my first permadeath run and the first sentinel multitool i found was A class, first 2 sentinel* ships i found A & B and i already ran into my first exotic ship and was able to buy it

my first space station had an S class shield mod, so im max shields and core health
