Don't put off your Atlas and Artemis missions for too long. You need to complete them to unlock the pathway to purple stars. They cannot be accessed until you finish the story lines.

Not sure what you mean. It is not possible for anyone to give you a built staff. They can give you the parts needed to make a staff but those will be useless to you until you progress far enough to find the places where staffs are assembled so just stuff the parts in storage for now.

I find multiplayer way more stable if just everybody launching their normal player game. And meeting up in the same system. This is often why player groups will have a dedicated system with bases in it. So they can easily load up together

Look for a yellow signal icon that says "Salvage Container". The planet info will tell you if it has salvageable scrap.

The containers have casing pieces extending off them, usually one will poke through the surface

Also, the Sentinel carriers drop AI fragments, those can also be used to locate nearest dissonant spikes

Most of the time clearing all the sentinel waves on a dissonant planet you will get a location of a fighter.

You won't if the planet doesn't have one (i.e. gold is on the resource list) or other conditions where no sentinel ship is present.

I have had it not give me a spike (location) once or twice even though the planet had sentinel ships on it however. But that is rare.

You can get more than one corvette, though, I think. Almost no one does in the Expedition though. (We tend to try to optimize the one we have instead.)

For units, you can buy a slot in every system's Station, and if you summon the Nexus Anomaly to each system, one there as well. You also can buy charts from Trading Posts, Minor Settlements, and Archives to find the Drop Pods that once repaired give you a free slot.

Note that the supercharged slots may be hidden until you expand the slots to reveal them. Class allows you to upgrade the number of slots you can add (in which the class slot added may be lurking)

Though I've experienced a class upgrade revealing a supercharged slot in existing slots also, and it has been a while since I paid a lot of attention, so not sure what the current code does.

Well, dense clusters. Saw one on the expedition, but now I've been seeing them in other places too. Just ran across two on my home planet, and one is right near my base, so it must've just regenerated.

Some planets have few flora, but will still spawn the oxygen and sodium plants so you can survive

Yah, the oxygen plants do regenerate. And the single oxygen plants and the cluster of oxygen plants are two different species (in the older days, scanning for flora you might have to find both named species; lately, neither (nor the two similar sodium plant species) count for flora scanning any more. I had a planet once where the oxygen cluster species was common, so you might find three clusters within 100u of each other for example. This was before the glowing grass was added, but clusters of glowing oxygen plants on that planet made nighttime magic in similar ways.

Yup. That's them alright. On another planet, the clusters of sodium plants were so common I filled an inventory stack of sodium for the first time. Where they are less common, I found looking for them at night helped since the oxygen, sodium, and jetpack boost plants all glow nicely at night.

That's the "single" not cluster species. (I find the singles produce 1 to 3 commonly, but sometimes more (I suspect two flora nodes close to each other.)) The cluster species is never less than about 10 or so, and sometimes much much more. It seems to be a density variable derived from the planet, because all the clusters seem about roughly the same density per planet, but on another planet, quite different.

It was easier to see the "single" and cluster species were different back when NMS generated species names for them, which it no longer does. But the species are still there.
By the way, there are often multiple distinct species of the cave mallow, gas bags, flytrap, and whip plants, sometimes with only minor differences (cave mallow are the only ones with different models, the others only vary in size between the species).
But there are only 2 species of the oxygen plants and 2 of the sodium plants, and only 1 of the jetback boost plants.

What I dislike about purple stars is their fauna. They all tend to have the same special fauna, making it not so special anymore. Normal systems have a greater fauna variety I feel like.
