The pillars I've encountered have had a terminal, where one can get lore, a MT, or issue a shutdown - I've not had to do any fighting tho

Also a lot of the Sentinel stuff refines to nanites always see what items refine to before selling or using them up.

Here's the a better way for nanites; learn how to hunt down crashed sentinel ships. scrap those ships and sell off the parts for units.

Then go to pirate systems and and use the units you earned to buy suspicious packets for tech and arms, take those back to normal space stations opens them and sell all the upgrades inside to vendors

The thing is there are multiple ways to do things in game; you can do !faq-nanites in #nms-commands and it'll give you a few links to read for nanites

Pillars have 3 battery kinda things around them you shoud destroy first. And usually a patroling walker, which starts to bug you as soon as you start shooting.

How to get started...

1. Complete the Artemis Path (the main story of the game).

3. Find a Harmonic Camp and release the multi-tool seal.

7. Finish the mission to reveal all purple systems on the galaxy map.
