Let's put it this way. I started playing three years ago. Died several times before getting off my first planet. I have since then spent time as a space pirate, blowing up freighters for valuable materials. I also spent some time waging war on the sentinels, fighting hordes of robots. I saved a civilian freighter from pirates and became the captain. Later on I would step down and commandeer a pirate dreadnought. I spent some time as an paleontologist, digging up alien fossils and finding out what life used to live on planets I found. I traded goods. I became respected by aliens and joined the explorers guild. I messed around making music. I built my own starship piece by piece and flew around in our with my IRL friends. I have talked with Gods and walked on gas giants, swam a thousand meters under the surface of an alien ocean.
Yes there's a lot to do.

Most flying creatures never touch the ground and the ones that do don't really fly, they hover a few meters above the ground, if you go off the cliff with one it doesn't hover, or glide, or fly, it plummets straight down until it reaches thee height above thee ground it's supposed to hover at.

I didn’t disappear. The Atlas, it turned the lights off and opened the door, but it was I that walked through it. And the Atlas will open other doors and turn off other lights. It always does.

Over 720 hours in NMS 100% all in VR and I finally made it to the center of the galaxy for the first time ever. Finally made it to a new galaxy, one that doesn't know me. The only thing left is to enjoy the journey.

There's also the classic problem of deleting your bases through file manipulation causing inconsistencies. Often resulting in the base parts not registering as being deleted. Or the base is being there like a phantom

It only lets you transfer ship (singular) from the expedition in the form of the corvette you built

HOWEVER, if you transfer high value corvette parts into the expedition through the terminal inventory, you can use those for your corvette or for trading

Corvette Rank is purely determiend by how many nanites you use to upgrade it : C > B = 10k nanites, B > A =25k nanites, and A > S = 50k nanites; Totaling to 85K nanites

The corvette expedition has many milestone rewards that literally give you more corvette parts for doing corvette things

as a certain point of compression a gas becomes a liquid, so i would image a gas giant being stormy ocean, maybe or maybe not a solid core, but a liquid sea to maybe swim a tiny bit into before the pressure is unbearable
