Don't know, that's a weird one but I would certainly not make a deep water base without being ready for it...make sure you can summon your Nautilus at said base, have the pressure membrane, and stuff to refill your life support with and you'll be alright.

Well then You've just been incredibly unlucky? I guess. :/ That's the only way to get echo locators. The odds per dissonance resonator aren't super high, but high enough. You should be finding them. Are they maybe going in an inventory you're not expecting or something?

The game has bugs still, probably always will since they keep adding new stuff. I haven't had a lot of issues with my freighter, at least none I didn't arguably cause myself.
Unless I'm misremembering something, there's no hard requirement to ever have a freighter, you can play the game to completion without one

i used my freighter to grow alot of stuff to make moneyz ...it eventually made my game weird when the freighter was in the system

my HUD became weird, on-planet icons don't come up, compass icons dont' appear, etc etc

everything is fine when the freighter isn't in the same system. it was very weird

IDK, personally corvettes' sluggishness and bugginess had me drop the idea of messing with them at all and my best attempt just collects dust anchored to my freighter. So, I really have no idea how to make a corvette good.
