It somehow depends on the terrain for me.

The less "flat" terrain is, the more chances that dumbtinel walker will fall into the ground or even under the bedrock

They technically do. If you ever fall through the surface you will see the tunnel system. Long tunnels that's suddenly stop like they were cut off.

That cutoff is the bedrock layer. Planets have the ground layer, water table, tunnel system and bedrock. Any of them can collide and intersect.

That means the system thinks there is a tunnel down there. It just doesn't take into account the bedrock layer that prevents you from going down there.

It's how you get caves that are like the surface. Covered in grass with buried tech modules under the bedrock layer. System got confused where everything lined up

Do awakenings then explore. Once you have a general understanding of how stuff works then you can work on further quests to open up a couple more things.

Follow the main quests and you'll learn as you play, but do know that even after several hundred hours, I'm still learning a lot. The Wiki will save you a lot of trouble, as well. 👍

There are tons of ways

trading with npcs, finding ones that are crashed, building a corvette, etc.

welll you can buy from NPCs if you see something you like. You can find in the wild downed star ships that you can repair. you can even start to build your own ship by looking for planets with salvagable scrap and make a corvette.

You can package tech modules back into your inventory and then install them in a different ship or multitool.

So if you found a better MT just move the tech off the old one, select the new MT and then install your tech onto that one.

There are literally only about 150 part slots in the corvette storage space on space staions, if you found all parts in the game (normal parts) it would pretty much fill it to capacity

What I mean is there are already a huge amount of free parts in the game adding a lot more could mean gfx collisions as is common with the amount already in game, as well as require collision plains to be calculated for pretty much every single one relative to the space / time coordinants and gfx loading. oh yeah use the terrain tool. Create some tunnels. as you move.. you'll collect silicate. Every so often stop.. switch the mode to "flatten" and create a room. doing that gathers up a LOT of silicate. then move on making another tunnel.. another room etc etc

• Filter installable blueprints by "technology"
