I use the color blind filter. I have for years. But I'm not color blind. It just removes a lot of the background Haze and coloring that makes it easier to distinguish colors.

Not just the filter makes life a lot easier, but each guild (Explorer, Mercantile, Mercenaries), dominate a region of the Galaxy Map.

Once the region name changes, you are within another guild territory, this isn't widely known and makes huge difference when doing space station guild farming.

Not really, Explorer Guild can either give you Frigate Module, Spaceship Augmentation, or Freighter Augmentation.

I don't remember the other one that can give you Exosuit slot Upgrade, Multitool slot upgrade or and another one I forgot.

Everybody was advertising themselves as a proc gen game back then. But it was so based. It would be proc gen levels with every other asset hand created. Or crafted games with procedurally generated weapons or loot.

I think Hello games showed what true procedural generation was and it caused many developers to just back away. Because if you're not going to do it all the way it comes across as half baked and nobody likes it.

Proc gen a decade ago was like AI today. Just a selling point.

What NMS did wasn't actually revolutionary in terms of procedural gen.
The reasons others didn't is because it's so samey. And it was well known that a full size space sim is just a whole lot of nothing but space and repetition.
The other issue is that it is hard to evolve procedural content generation algorithms in live code.
So what NMS really did was to make that sort of procedural universe interesting and avoided breaking the procedural content (much).

Really the only way to search for a previous planet is to go through your Discovery list system by system and plan it by planet. Unless you have it marked with a base computer, quest or some other way to get yourself back there easily. Like portal coordinates.

uhhh, you kinda can't just expedite it, this stuff takes time, but the first thing is to get settlement out of debt, where upgrading already existing buildings can help, which can increase your population max as well (especially when upgrading housing buildings), then you can get more build opportunities as long as you're not in debt, and there's not already an active building/upgrading construction site

it does slightly depend on the ship & the weapon, as well as the upgrade modules installed, square is typically preferred as that is meant to give the most adjacency bonuses, but if someone did an L or T shape & worked better for them, then that's how it works for them generally

Oh well if you're on a dissonant world there are enemies everywhere. And once you get in combat they can randomly pop up wherever you go.

The AI Minotaur is a great friend on dissonant worlds. You can just bounce from resonator to resonator ignoring the sentinels. Just destroy the resonator and jetpack off. Your Minotaur will keep them busy until he catches up with you. By then you're long gone

You can also use the AI Minotaur as a hardpoint to confuse the sentinels. It takes them a few seconds to reacquire a Target that's close by and start shooting. So if you're moving in front of and behind your Minotaur during combat it keeps them looking for targets and shooting less

Think of it like each neighbour cell has a score and that score gets lower the more steps it is from the supercharged cell.
So in a square, the corner cell might have a score of 0.5 but the direct neighbour cells have a score of 1. so in a square 2 upgrades add 100% and the corner one adds 50%, but it is 50% of 2 adjacent cells, not 50% of the supercharged cell.
In a T, each of the 3 upgrades would have a score of 1, but all of them would only get an adjacency bonus from the single SC slot that they touch.

From my limited experience, the rest will require some work, so choose carefully what do you want to commit for lol.

The neutron cannon is a hard one to roll x-class with. But once you have all good x-class modules for it recharging it between shots is almost non-existent. Basically just rapid fire it

It's fine. I did not really consider using a corvette as my main starship until recently, because my corvettes always seemed too bulky and weren't as maneuverable as any of my starships. But I have figured out enough about corvette building to make one that's relatively small with great maneuverability and damage.

You can only teleport between outlaw systems if I recall correctly; or from bases / freighter to them.
You can't, for instance, teleport from a regular space station to an outlaw one -- otherwise smuggling would be very broken
