i had a small awesome base in a giant cave on an extreme cold world. long time ago

Early after bases were added I went throught a whole phase where most of my bases were like this: closed off the cave mouth sometimes, most stuff underground, etc. Then NMS changed its cave layout algorithm, and I had to revisit many of those cave bases to match the new cave layouts and rebuild as needed. That was time consuming but actually rather fun.

Try trading platforms also. They show up there too. Less common I think.

It is generally easier to just complete the atlas missions to collect all the glyphs instead of trying to find them, unless you know where they are.

There is some planets/systems people have noted where you could get a full or near full set of glyphs from graves.

Many mines you don't really need, you can just refine the resources from others, if you want.
You definitely want oxygen (lots), silver, gold.
You should be mining all the biome gases: nitrogen, sulphurine, radon (don't really need methane)
At least one stellar metal, preferably indium or quartzite.
All the biome minerals: paraffinium, ammonia, dioxite, phospherous.

you can tell a big chunk of the planet's biomes by looking past the flavor text and immediately noting the green text, which is plant

Look in your Catalogue at the Materials and Items -> Crafting Components.
Keep in mind that you must use refiners if you want a massive production.
You can't realistically have 2000 of each plant you will need, for example.

I have reason to believe that the tilt on the moons a lot of people talk about is just the added gravity from the nearby host planet and not the moon itself. giant planets showcase this to the extreme, and even collisions have their gravities tilt towards a center point

There's one planet that I discovered almost a year ago, and when I first found it, the water was very blue and the average temperature was somewhere around -210, but as of a few months ago, the water is more green, and the average temp is only around -150

I dont see the necessity of fitting all the storage boxes on a corvette. I still haven’t filled all of them, 7,8 and 9 I have them empty, and by the time you get to fill them up completely, you probably gonna have the frighter upgrade for teleporting matter, literally give you access to all your storage from anywhere while your freighter is on the system

Well, they shouldn't, as they are kept in a server, not locally; what can happen -- I've seen it -- is you come back to a place you have already been and have to scan everything again, as if it was the first time. Not sure why this happens, but alas, it happens.

If your discoveries (especially recent ones) do disappear, it's probably a connection issue on your end or (more commonly) server-side. They come back.

I use Arch based endarvous os with Proton GE 10.25 also if you have issues make sure that NMS is using using the right GPU; I used a AMD GPU and was having teleport crashes so apparently NMS under linux reads the GPU twice so if you have a AMD one make sure it reads you AMD gpu but shows RADV in parenthesis.

Yeah even windows peeps have issues with NMS memory leaks I'd say use borderless so you can alt tab easier

no when you are finished just go back to the console and switch back to main save.. then go to the quicksilver guy and claim your rewards. You can also put stuff in the console from your cargo before you switch back and then claim it at the console once you have switched

Personally I avoid corvettes altogether. I find them to be clumsy starships with very few advantages over the regular ones. For that lack of advantage to be so ridden with bugs, oof, avoid imo
