I wonder how that would work. I'm guessing it can only work with already visited systems since systems only generate planets once a person first encounters them. The game generates a seed, and until then, there's nothing. In that sense, you can't exactly scan a system before stepping foot on it

It's like schrodinger's systems. They're all realities at once, and only collapse into one reality once somebody observes them

If you're on pc, you could try downloading the no man's sky editor, then from there you can manually reload a previous save point. I used to do that when I experimented with mods and the save got corrupted. First make a copy tho

limitations of what devs can do. you still see new creatures after hundreds of hours. depends how fast you explore. like i said games too easy. if warp fuel was hard to get, travel hard etc, and we had to choose landing wisely,(launch fuel etc) it wouldnt get so boring so fast. iv been in one system with 4 planets for 30-35 hours now over a week, im still not bored seeing fauna but then again i modded fauna to spawn at 30% rate so actually finding all types becomes a challenge and fun

Crafting is hugely important, and often dictates the quality of gear and upgrades available to you

Mostly in the sense that you can find a random S class multitool, but you'll still need to craft the components to deck it out in fancy upgrade modules

Yeah, tutorial is good, just be careful not too take on too many branching quests at once. Try and get things done one at a time to avoid being overwhelmed with options

There's the corvette expedition, which is technically separate from your save entirely, then like 3 main quest lines

The atlas path, the Artemis questline, and some other third one I've forgotten

You can do all 3 main quest lines in 1 save, so don't stress the order too much
