If I'm on a hill, but want to expand my base's area. The way it works now, I have to create terrain using the create tool, then flatten that terrain out. In Astroneer, it lets you just create terrain that's already flattened to the level you're at.

Well. Using terrain manipulation for base building is a good way to turn it into a buried site, my advice is not to use it as, when you keep modifying terrain in other planets, the game will regenerate what you modified at the start when you hit the terrain edit limit, it's a cycle

How to farm X-Class Upgrade Modules

1. Purchase at least 6 up to 10 X-Class Upgrade Modules for what you wish to get a good 'roll' on.
2. Make a restore point
3. Install them all, one at a time, keeping note on the exact 'order' as well as 'good' or 'bad' rolls.
4. Reload your restore point.
5. Repeat the same amount of 'installs' as follows:
6. For any of the bad rolls, you instead install any different Upgrade Module (packing an existing to re-install works as well).
7. For any of the good rolls, you install an X-Class Upgrade Module.
8. Once you have (re-)installed the same amount of Upgrade Modules you tested, you create another restore point again.

Note: you can now repeat the above, using any remaining X-Class Upgrade Modules.
