I disagree, for me games as brutal and gory as cp2077 have had a noticeable effect on my mood while playing them.

I looked a lot into this topic during uni and while video games producing killers is not really accurate, being exposed to violent media definitely has an effect on things like empathy and readiness to enact violence.

Which is why I'm glad that stuff like NMS exist which is mostly pacifist, even the combat is cartoonish .

a good tip that i wish i knew sooner is that you're able to "legally" dupe tech with expeditions. You bring the best X class upgrade you got into an expedition, put it into your multitool (for example), finish the expedition and afterwards you get onto your main save and dublicate the multitool used in the expedition through the terminal four times, that gives you four of the multitools and four pieces of the best X class tech

Some of the interactions yes. But mostly what happens after you get one: the search for technology upgrades for it. It's grindy and boring lol. It involves a lot of pulse-driving.
