You can share building at a base but it requires the base owner to be online and there. Easier to build close to each other usually. But if you always or most often play together that may be fine for you

Nah. Syncing is pretty bad in No Man's Sky. You can travel to a system, discover every single planet, get every bit of fauna on it, go to a different system, come back, and it says it was discovered seven years ago because the game just caught up.
