Yes if you find a traveler in a space station he will give you a task to go to a travelers grave and you will obtain the sun glyph. You go to the portal you found using a planetary map on a random planet, you must unlock or repair all of the glyph symbols and then you enter the sun glyph 12 times and it will teleport you to a solar system that is 5k light years from the galactic core

yea if you follow that path and those glyphs, which is early game. other glyphs take you any where else in the galaxy. just using a portal or map to find one, will not 85% find you another player or take you to the center or near it. that is just that particular quest, same goes for the travelers. once that quest is done, they will not give those quest to find graves anymore.

the squid is the rarest. there is only 1 exotic per system and the "bag o ships" the game chooses from is the many, many versions of the royal and a squid, of which there is only one single design. so the game landing on the one squid vs the piles of royals is rare indeed.

learn what wepaons do more damage to shields versus no shields,plus a decent ability to maneuver and it gets much simpler. (I don't know the hotkey for keyboards) but holding LT on controllers locks to the enemy ships and it will chase them so you just have to focus on firing

Anyone think the gun play will be reworked in the future? Honestly I think that's the only part missing from the game. It is beyond good enough for me but the only thing I would add is some more immersive pve stuff like being able to see your arms moving while holding your multitool and walking. dissonant planet will get you more of the proper fuel, but check your local space station for fuel first and any other supplies you may need

Like I said I think the game is amazing, had the same disk since 2016 for my ps4. But some new fps mechanics would definitely complete it I think. Only other thing I would add is multi biomed planets and maybe make less static like elite dangerous how they actually orbit the star instead of it being a sky box but I know that's a very long shot @sinful spire
