The NMS Communities, or civilisations in NMS have been a HUGE part of the Multiplayer game since early NMS, 2017/2018 more prominently since actual Multiplayer was released.

There are HUGE varieties of Community/Civilisations types. Roleplay ones are there but are more a small part of what the overall communities are. There are ones like the Galactic Hub, largely focused on exploration and have their own decal ingame. The Galactic Star Cabs, a well used taxi service, the NMS Federation, a collection of loads of civs in an alliance. My Legion where we became well known for our combat training, growing a large 3,000+ Player Community, training NMS players in PVE and PVP combat techniques, having the best loadouts, setting up Arenas, and tournaments, also taking part in the Community Galactic Games (a community made NMS Olympics but the UFE Community, where several Civs come together to win the NMS Olympics for lack of a better phrase).

There are also the NMS pirates.

Hey so I’m a newer player and a few days ago I did my first galaxy reset following that one mission line and I chose the green galaxy because I’m new and wanted to not have a super hard time. Well I spent a day or so getting my ship fixed and wandering around for a bit trying to figure out what to do next and ended up making a friend here and I joined his game before I made a base in my new galaxy and I don’t know what the name of my new galaxy was before I joined my friend’s Galaxy. How do I find out what my second galaxy was and how do I go back to it?

Find the nearest teleporter and there should be a list of recent portals you've been through. Most likely you can get back "home" if you didn't make a base.

should have been fixed in one of their recent patch updates. but i still cant use the beam to get back to my ship or make settlement decisions as an overseer. hopefully it buffs out. tho it has been found that some items are the cause of this, like the satellite

As long as you're on a planet that has it (in a blue star system), it is about the deposit classification you find (S class deposit giving most yield ofc)

yeah so some planets have ancient bones, and you basically dig up bones. Once you have every type like leg bones, ribs, skull etc you can assemble them into a full skeleton and display it. Alien paleontologists will also buy them for a good price
