There were other features added along with many bugfixes, especially counting the latest Public patch that landed the other day. But the main thrust of it was the Settlements expansion, so Switch (original) did not get the big chunk of the update. But even for orig Switch users, it wasn't pointless.

Original Switch will never get Settlements - don't wait for it. It doesn't have the muscle for it.

It's probably the memory limitation on the thing more than anything -- it's got 4GB RAM total, shared between system and video memory. That's ... not a lot for a game like NMS. Raytracing effect doesn't take much memory, but without dedicated hardware, that's an impressive feature for the Switch version, true.

Based on what I've seen reported from other players, including one report I recall on June 26 2024, I'm left to assume that the latest hotfix was likely not the cause.

Also, I find it really interesting that with cloud gaming, it's showing for you. So there may be a network issue happening. Do you happen to be showing Offline when you open the game? I know this should not be an issue but I saw someone mention it before and it may be worth exploring it as a workaround

Yeah i did that today for 3 hours and i got 5 or 6 Stacks of ship Slot Expansion Modules

But idk where to use it my first ship which i keep permanent has all maxed slots.
And my other Freighter would be Swapped so i Could buy 2 more Ships and there would be fully extended

In other words i have no use for them right now
