On my now-corrupted save (due to yesterday's Experimental bug that has been patched), I had been sitting on a planet for a while and had a day-old Restore Point save (vs. the Autosave which saved as I was noticing the bug yesterday), so restoring to the day-old Restore Point removed the issue.

I was lucky.

My last backup, which I do manually, was a month old.

When you install a procedurally generated upgrade (CBASX packages), the game rolls the stats based on seed, which is based on order of installation in tech inventory

Cyclotron’s been really good for me because while it’s not the best for regular ships w/out shields, it’s killer on freighter hulls and asteroids

Half the reason I even use positron on my main ship is bc the rockets don’t always one shot regular ships

True, but I have also switched between experimental and live on a save that dates back to Beyond like a million times. Things can always break obv, but it's better than having a completely useless cross save system that doesn't actually work cross save.

Again, that's not on HG necessarily. It's how Nintendo does patches. But that's why I'd ask for a very small (maybe hotfixes only) range of patches that the save would still work with.

Experimental vs Live saves are stored locally on your computer while any save you want to use for cross save has to go through HG’s Cloud service. That’s why it won’t work to cross save between version numbers
