Lol, not by intent reliably, but if you build a base at one you can build a Landing Pad on top and either land at it or teleport to the base to put your ship there. I usually build my Landing Pads to mimic extra ones, and the NPCs seem to prefer them to the Trading Post's own.

Max in a base is 9. And then there is an upper bound on NPCs landing in a base. At one point it was 4, but no idea in modern times.

Lol on occasion, NPCs did not land at bases at all. Did you know once upon a time, NPCs landed at Minor Settlements? Long, long ago...

NMS tweaks these type of things, and I have to keep repeating experiments. Keeps me busy 😉

Well if anyone's wondering about "deep water" fishing on gas giants, find water on the surface, not underwater ponds, so you can mine with terrain manipulator, you should hit a bit above 30u

And +30u apparently is enough for colossal fish

Alert is at 100%, I'm warping to different stations, closed the game and reopened it and it's still saying the same thing. Settlement under attack. Does anyone else have this problem?

Ultimately it really doesn’t matter, these bonuses are lovely on paper the same way the big number for damage potential looks nice.

As long as you take the effort for your weapon modules and those stats (be it S or X) you’ll have no issues, X class is just a nice bonus that you do see.

This is my go to weapon for exploring and minor combat, experimental weapon, just checked the stats via save editor and they are as high as it could go, no idea why it shows 10k when i can melt anything with 1 burst

Do not supercharge stuff like personal refiner, launch auto recharge, launch thruster core tech etc

The class is the only thing you can't upgrade in freighters (at least, to date). Starships, multitools, yes, but freighters no. But you can expand tech and cargo slots anyway, so most folks settle for A-class when shopping, or hold out for S-class if patient enough.

You can, but I guess the goal is to hop in a ship and chase after exotic if it doesnt land

You could just drop a save beacon and keep reloading after every wave without an exotic as that will despawn currently landed ship and new wave should come shortly

Yah, they were talking the freighter itself. Now frigates, I recommend you take any C-class with basically good (2-digit) stats in its main type stat, preferably with the red-dot defects, because it will level up and reroll stats and turn defects into white-dot bonuses, always improving at each reroll. So C-class gets the most rerolls on the way to S-class, so, best potential.

Hmm, that is odd. Is there any other nearby landing opportunity (like another Trading Post, or an Archive)? Sometimes the NPC flight patterns are sensitive to that, and extra Landing Pads may tip them over into chaos or "no landing" mode. Try moving the extra Landing Pad, for example to behind the main central area instead of on top, and see if the landing patterns improve.

that depends on the economy tier of the system you are in, 0.1% for tier 1, 1% for tier 2, 2% for tier 3 and 5% for outlaw system iirc

You gotta do a quest it’s kinda endgame so it’ll be a while before you can get one

They’re pretty cool though and you can custom make them once you unlock them

Also something I JUST learned after playing this game for a year but if you put mods next to eachother next to the weapon (bolt caster mod next to the bolt caster tool slot) it increases its effectiveness

Exotics crashes are quite rare, I'm not even fully sure it's a thing

There are 21 ships in a system pool, this spread over the planets in the system you would more than likely have at least 1 crash site containing each of the 21.

Portals could equally be used to take a player to a system to instead of using a crash site they use a trade outpost or station to roll for any of the systems models.

My question was simply asking how anyone would know you are talking about a crashed ship when all that was stated was “Could have just used a portal bro🙏..”
