if you're using a planetary chart that can yield different results, like a historical data chart, you can just avoid going to the POI it generates if it's not the one you want

use the chart again instead

it's just that the game generates exactly one POI of each type in a given system when using a chart, and it won't generate new ones of that same type until you go to that POI and investigate it

some insight into game dev from a former AAA dev

generally speaking you have different teams working on different features on different branches, so each team's code ecosystem is relatively isolated from anything other than the main branch, which makes it difficult to test how updates play together if they're being developed concurrently - merging two dev branches together just to test is time-consuming as hell

it's more feasible to deploy an update, merge the changes from the main branch into the branch of the update still in development, and keep working from there

i've also noticed other devs like to code their entire feature at once and then only test their code for game-breaking shit, and half the time they forget about more minor things

jsu tkeep warping, the game will give you all 16 glyphs - one per warp - until the purge comes to the "conclusion" - make sure you change your weapon and ship for lousy weapon and ship before you do becasue all your equipped technology MIGHT break at the last interface.

Your choice is to accept his offer or deny it.. you make the choice, it doesn't REALLY matter in the long run

It just changes the reward - but both rewards are equal enough.

How do I get frigate modules to unlock freighter stuff

early game, easier choice is to find crashed freighters and open the SIX cargo pods at each crash site. Each pod has a reasonable chance of giving you a SFM

you can get emergency distress signal charts from the cartographer NPC on the space station, or you can use the submarine or minotaur radars to find them

also of note, it's worth checking space station "mission boards" for quests that offer SFMs as rewards. Thats a guarantee that you'll get one

It's a freighter, but it's also a bit of a show off piece - I used glitchbuilding to put extra plants in where they don't naturally go.

Can't put the "harvestable" plants in these pots... except when you can... thru trickery 😄

If/when you're ready to learn glitching I can certainly help you out.
It's basically takign advantage of slight delays in the way the build engine is set up - we exploit the delay and we can put PART A in the place where we're holding PART B... which can let us snap things that do't normally snap...

Anyhow. When you're ready to invest time into building, check out "youtube/beeblebum/glitch 2023" and you'll find a video that teaches all the glitch techniques. It can be a bit difficult to translate those tehcniques form the video into the game itself - i had issues doing it - but feel free to ping me (or dm me) if/when you want a hand learning to use those tricks in game.

You are at he Apollo stuff. You still ahve the Null stuff to do...
It wants you to find a portal... you dont need glyphs for the portal it has marked for you.

yeah my first settlement has a sentinel stuck in a roof of a building every time they attack, but the AOE of neutron cannon can still hit it

AND your built base WILL transfer... the only thign to remember is that (just like swapping out ships) the installed technologie sand the freihgter SPECIFIC storage pane (the inventory page) go away with the ship. But you can package up the technologies so thats not really an issue either

Don't spend your whole time playing just trying to get things other players have found. Enjoy the game where you are in it.... who knows what you will find nearby if you take the time to look for it. Maybe somethign even better.

storage 0-9 will never be lost, even if you erase all copies of them.

jsut build them again and POOF.. all your stuff exists again 😄
