There is no reason to keep all the fossil parts. Each fossil merchant sell the vast majority of the parts in the game(like 90%). Use what you want and scrap or sell the rest. If you ever want them again they are too easy to obtain.

own both, strip them down to bare tech, no adjacency or supercharging bonuses active, then it's a bit easier to compare.

in the long run, it's upgrades that make up 90% of the power, not really the innate bonuses

also, remember that damage potential isn't a ceiling, or how much each installed weapon system will do - on ships, it's mostly affected by the "sum" of all the installed weapon systems - add more weapons and upgrades for those weapons and it goes up, but damage each weapon does won't just because of that

The sentinel tools are, if I remember, the worst at mining. They become very good though if you add the normal mining beam to it in addition to the hijacked laser

The limit only applies to proximity. If you space them out you can put more.

Use the artifact chart until it says "Alien monolith detected". if it says anything else, don't go to it and use another. The monolith will show you where a portal is
