@balmy ivy basically, instead of trying to gather all the plants you can't farm, look at what the product is that you're trying to make because it's likely there's an alternative source. This is true for a lot of finished food too like pies and cakes

Most of the growable plants have recipes like that. You can basically use automated miners to mind your plants if you have the patience to refine everything

It matters a lot if you're trying to save on parts

Two farms that mine oxygen and dioxide will give you more frost crystal for significantly less parts than building a plant farm

It'll just be slower because of the refining process

But saves have a 16k part limit, at least for uploads, so it is useful in that regard

I think if I ever actually get at risk of hitting that part limit, I'll consider it.

If you apply this logic to most farmable things in the game, and you have patience to refine everything, you can make a stasis device farm that produces a lot of devices for very few parts compared to a plant version

Reminder, mines don't need like 100 miners lol; on s class you'll get what you need with like 4 or 8

Hey guys is there some disadvantage or something wrong about staying in Euclid galaxy bc some time ago I saw someone on the internet (can't recall where exactly), criticizing people who never left Euclid, personally I didn't bc I want to set up some resource bases first and a stable source of credits, but I want you guys's opinions.

Up to the player, differences between galaxies are pretty negligible tho I would recommend visiting a harsh galaxy (more extreme weather planets) at least for a bit bc I think they are fun

I share my discoveries like planets, multitools or ships so I tend to explore mainly euclid bc it makes it easier for people to visit and see things I discovered

The game feels really grindy until you start to understand what's important and where you can efficiently get important resources from. The most important thing to do in a new save is probably to get a freighter and build storage containers on it. Huge inventory upgrade right there that you can do much faster than your exosuit. Once you know what everything is and where to get it, the game starts to feel like a cozy game because you just kind of explore and end up with the things you need.

You can't edit the colors of an existing ship, you must find ships of the color you desire, or take parts from Fighters, Haulers, Explorers or Solar ships to fabricate your own of your desired color

Well the best way to get ships to scrap for fabrication parts is to buy them, but you have to seek out the ship with a part you desire of course
