I think you're probably talking about the pirate dreadnought. You find it by warping sometimes. You can capture it by destroying its engines and weapons before it runs away.

Skeletons will also look different

Reptile display has 3 slots for limbs, one for body and one for head

Another type had 2 for limbs, 1 for tail, 1 for body and 1 for head

Any staff has a higher damage % multiplier than a royal tool I believe, though the atlas scepter is a pretty medium tier staff, it just looks cool and staffs are among the highest damage % bonus ranges

Some base parts are unlocked from doing early missions, like the storage containers, the farmable plants etc, even the exocraft geobays too I think actually

every time you get a recipe for an item, when you get heart of the sun recipe the next station will be the last. I recomend crafting it before going to the last station

Yep, many red stars will have them. Usually a matter of checking planets with 4 fauna.
