it's based on which assembly you do, a biped or protoform would look more like a human (anomaly) or monkey, a quadruped would look more like a cat or dog or larger mammal like the living fossil companion

Depends what you want. Different galaxies have different traits

Eissentam is the first lush galaxy

If I'm not mistaken

the easiest way to switch galaxies is using the featured bases at the anomaly (go to any base in a different galaxy that would be shown), the second easiest way is to go through the main storyline (you select a galaxy to go to, but all other galaxies require core warp or featured bases), and the slightly hard way is to core warp, which would go in order, so 1 to 2, etc

Mine was on a peaceful, stormless desert, and you can simply use Settlement Charts to find one on a desired planet

Report the issue to HG a lot of times, also try seeking help in #nms-questions channel. In your reports to HG attach the save file so that the dev team can take a look and try to fix it. There is still time before the expd ends, if this is a known issue already the dev team will possibly extend the expd time and release a patch in the coming future but don’t put your bet on this.

I didn't even know you could split it into thirds. Only halves.

Well, that's technically true, but you can basically split a stack based on a pattern. What I discovered:

1. Split the stack in half twice, so you end up with two stacks at a 3:1 ratio
2. Split the largest stack in half and put the remainder in the smaller stack
3. Repeat step 2, and eventually the two stacks will be split in a 2:1 ratio
4. split the largest stack into two, and you end up with 3 evenly-split stacks

Use a teleporter to go to the freighter and collect from the stellar extractors instead of summoning the freighter. Also, empty the extractors before warping in the freighter.

Hoo boy! That's a long discussion and you need to have unlocked portals, which is it's own quest.

If you want good accurate info about it there are a lot of videos and people who can explain it better than I. But essentially you can unlock portals to travel to specific systems using runes.

nope, modding doesn't limit achievements, only your game mode would restrict two specific game mode based ones, modding, save editing, etc is all allowed, given you understand it can cause errors/crash your game/possibly corrupt saves (depending on what you do)
