It’s actually pretty easy to hit the 32 bit integer limit, from there you can even go past it, except it’s really buggy and every save usually resets your money back down to the 32b int limit

So ive been farming these guardien(sentinel? dont now the exact english word) ships for money and there are a few things that i found a bit confusing. 1. All ships i found look exactly the same like is that normal are they all the same looking. 2. The money they are worth is super random to me like the s class one i am using is worth 60mil while one a class i found is worth 62mil why?

depending on how much power draw you have, I think the standard is 2 solar panels per battery to fill them up, and then you'd have to use trial and error to see how many sets of that it takes to get you through the night

For some reason I didn't think the game would allow me to do that. So now I have a base with literally 8 landing pads. Which for me, the Lalafell with one week of game play, is like a huge deal.

Yah, Permadeath (official) and "hard core" (unofficial) are two different things. Naturally most (all?) "hard core" standards use Permadeath, but there are lots of variations, and that's all good. Default Permadeath is just another variant (the easiest one? 😉 ) of "hard core". Find a standard you like and stick to it, or use default Permadeath and don't say no to anything it doesn't already preclude 😉

Huh... This is weird. On Rendezvous 4 I built a base farily close to the field office (the rendezvous spot). I went offplanet to collect some folssils, and when I come back, the field office is now about twice as far away as when I left.

permadeath isn't its own gamemode anymore, now its a setting you can turn on in the custom difficulty settings where you can choose to make things stupid hard for yourself

Hmm, so I've concluded the "time estimate" to reach the "Galactic Paleology Field Office" HUD marker is just totally bugged. I built my base near it at a Shelter, went back to it with bones by hopping in a Minotaur in around 30 hops. Went off-planet to collect more bones, came back to the base, and now it said time estimate "1 hour" (which would be about 60 hops). After 60 hops, still said "1 hour". Switched to my ship and after freaking out a while the estimate now says distance 7429u (which would be about 74 more hops in Minotaur). So that 1 hour should have been at least 2 hour, and why did the field office move? 🤣

I'm literally a new player and because of the bug i cant buy a ship. I have almost maxed out the first one on upgrades. Is there some other way to buy a ship?

You can just open maps until it gives you a distress signal, it will sometimes say you can't have another of this type or something, but just keep clicking until it spawns another thing. You can have 5 points active, and there's 5 types of emergency signals, one will be a crashed ship

u exchange them for map charts that have distress signals, it can give ya crashed freighters, crashed ships with or without a pilot nearby (u want to look for the ones that don't have a pilot) and abandoned buildings
