I don’t see any disadvantages with redux. I agree a repeat is not new content and more often then naught we want new content, but while the expedition redux is being run HG (usually) works on a big content drop. This has been a trend in the past 3-4 years (for the most part).

Expeditions have been rerun since the past two years or so, during the last quarter. Not all of them are rerun though, 5 at a time (give or take). You can wait and see which ones will be rerun this year.
