I saw that there are some big animal bosses added a few patches ago but otherwise nothing on the planets ever attacks you other than the poison plants. I really wish there was slightly for difficulty/danger to exploration and every once in awhile a predator species on a planet or in the ocean that will attack you

Well I think it’s just my preferred style of space games usually make things harder to achieve. This game is more about exploration and gives you everything else pretty easy: Money, capital ship, fleet etc. basically are all very easy to get so there is not really anything to struggle for. After you have means to produce base resources and unlimited money you don’t even need to collect stuff anymore so it basically is just about passive exploration and base building 🤷‍♂️

Hi. I'm new to the discord channel but not new to the game. I am quitting this game for good and here is why.

I played creative, I played normal, I played expeditions and nothing had the thrill of hardcore iron man mode. So I did that. I completed all the upgrades, had a flotilla of ships and a full freighter with full storage. I did everything and then I decided to join the galactic hub. I decided to give the main quest storyline a go and go there through the portal glyphs so I did that. I completed the story. I went to the final Atlas interface and reset the simulation. For the new Galaxy I chose the raging one hoping for a challenge.

Atlas moved me to an extreme world with a raging firestorm. All my systems were damaged. My multitool was useless and my scanner was broken so I couldn't find my ship. My hazard protection went down in seconds and before I could find a cave to hunker down and figure my next move I had joined Artemis in the afterlife. My save file deleted. Everything taken from me in a blink of an eye.

You can build your own fighters if you want (obviously need parts) if you want to go down that route only you can’t control the stats of the ship
