The reason we need a color drive installed is to traverse to the system on the other side of the core. The drive enables us to travel to any system available. If purple isn’t unlocked the max system is blue, so Indium works but if it’s unlocked then we need Atlantid.

Not in the normal game save dir, for NMS this would be G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<Steam User ID>\760\remote\275850\screenshots and yes you hear the sound but the screenshot doesn't appear in the dir and in the version of the Steam client that I have installed there's no option to change the dir, unless you have the option enabled to save an external copy which is then saved to pictures\scrrenshots
