If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Make sure to ☑️ “Shutdown source when not visible” for all browser sources (all OBS scenes). Hi. I'm trying to set up a custom hypecup with custom alerts. I'd like the alerts to trigger custom sound fx as well. The issue that I'm having is that I can't find where to set the sound fx. I don't have a link to "stream store" in my dashboard, and none of the alerts have a setting for audio. What am I missing?

Hey guys. I used my broadcaster account as the streamelements bot, and it was working fine. But for the past 3-4 days, the bot stopped working. The only way to keep him working is changing the bot back as StreamElements.
And also, viewers can redeem store items via chat and store, but throught the app it always says they don't have enough points.
Am I the only one having these problems?

Just to finalize this query. The solution was simple. It wasn't StreamElements. It wasn't window/display capture. It's switching scene collections. When switching scene collections for whatever reason WITHOUT FAIL, OBS will crash at some point (not always instant) supplying zero crash log. On boot, it will default to the previous scene collection (before switching) requiring you to switch again in turn repeating the cycle of crashing. The solution is simply to switch to your desired scene collection and then restart OBS. I don't know if it's caused by a plug-in or if it's default OBS Studio, but that's the solution all the same.

Hey guys, I had a small situation today with OBS. I had Warzone running, however, as soon as I change from Fullscreen Borderless to Fullscreen, the entire thing crashes and can be fixed only with a system restart. Both game and discord.

But, when I keep the game Fullscreen Borderless everything works fine.

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but I use streamelements and I noticed a problem with the alerts. All 5 are checkmarked for dodos, cheers, subs, raids, and hosts, but only subs, cheers, and raids show on stream. The hosts and dodos do not. Does anyone know why?

Hello, I have no idea why I keep having issues its been driver issues in the past each time a driver update happens im all of a sudden dropping frames dramatically on OBS. In addition when I hit "Start Stream" the Dropped frame counter jumps to 93% and my stream doesnt even start going live at all. Hello, I kinda have a problem with my alerts. A while ago I imported my Streamlabs alerts to Streamelements which had no problems since I don't use anything from Streamlabs anymore. But for some reason my alerts show but don't play any audio in OBS even though it does in the preview. Actually sometimes it doesn't even play in the preview but when I press the mute button and then umute it again it works but still not in OBS itself. I have no clue where to start searching for a solution.

Okay so ive been experiencing issues I have a Lenovo Desktop AMD Ryzen 7 16 gb ram Nvidia 3060 GPU. Initially the issues ranged from Inability to play games while streaming due to latency which was resolved after updating hardware drivers for my GPU. Several days has gone by since then January 11th to be exact. As of last night however I all of a sudden am experiencing dropped frames drastically. My network is 426 down and 21 up. Streaming is smooth for me all the way up until I start a game. By opening view "Stats" on OBS it shows after a game is started I go from 0% Dropped frames (Network) and 3500 bitrate to 65%+ dropped frames and my bitrate plumits and bounces between 200 to 800. My stream prior to this was exceptionally smooth no issues what so ever. I have adjusted my settings and even have gone as far as opening sockets and reinstalling damn near everything. This is not an isolated situation it happens with any game. I am at a loss at this point on the next steps I should take my network should be more than good enough to support my stream (my other setup streams flawlessly) and is a lesser system in comparison 1070Ti with I7 and 16gb of Ram........ Any help or ideas on what to do next would be amazing I am at a loss... I get no PC lag what so ever CPU, RAM, GPU very little usage less than 30% for each all the way around etc no matter what game im playing. I need a real streaming CHAD to come up with a resolution!

ID like to post I found my solution I had selected "Studio ready driver" For Nvidia for some reason that was working just fine but, as of January 12th was causing my stream to tank bitrate. Switching to Nvidia "Game ready driver" Solved my issue 100% I am now 0 dropped bitrate pretty silly thing I legit optimized, opened ports like crazy unparking cores, Changing Windows 11 Automatic game DVR in the registry you name it over such a simple solution so annoying.

hi folks, i'm having trouble with my host alerts. all my other alerts work fine on all of my overlays, but host alerts have never worked for me on any of them, even though they show up fine when i emulate it in the overlay editor. i've tried adding variations specifically for a few of my most frequent host-ers by username, and that hasn't worked either. any help would be appreciated

We have filtered out hosts and will only show these ones on your activity feed:

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

Hi, is it absolutely necessary to set up a tipping page+link to have a custom bot name? I already connected a custom bot account but it's not working. Whenever I hit "send test message" or try a command nothing happens. Choosing StreamElements or my own name works though. 2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3. Stop your stream/recording.

Hello together. So I got my new Pc yesterday and set everything up to be able to stream again today. Since i got a good PC i was happy to play some Apex again (and stream it). While playing offstream I get 180-200 fps on highest settings.
When i start my stream, the nvidia fps counter goes to 33 and stays there and the output to my stream are those 33 fps while on my monitor and ingame I still have a lot of fps (counter says 33 but still feels like more than 120fps). My output in obs is set on 60fps 1920x1080 tho... Does someone knows why obs/gpu/Apex sets the outgoing fps to 60 instead of the reached 140 or the 60 i set up in obs?

Was able to reset to the StreamElements name by adding an additional dock going to the SE dashboard and signing out, restarting OBS Studio, and signing back in via the custom Feed dock. It seems that setting only appears on initial signin on my end.

If you go to the OBS website and add /tools/analyzer to the end of the URL you can paste the link to your log and it will tell you some things you can fix. The most critical one is this:

Your log contains streaming sessions with dropped frames. This can only be caused by a failure in your internet connection or your networking hardware. It is not caused by OBS.

Hi there, I was curious if there's a way to have tips auto update on my overlay. Currently I have to manually update it which isn't a huge issue since tips are rare for me but it would be a nice QOL thing

Assuming the bot is a moderator in your channel the tips should update automatically. If you’re not receiving an alert immediately it is probably because paypal put a hold on the funds….

If a viewer tipped through PayPal but no information appears in your StreamElements account, this generally means PayPal has held the tip for verification.
Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction.
There is a posibility that the tip may have been sent as an eCheque/eCheck - these tips can take from 7 up to 21+ days to show up on our side. Tippers can usually cancel these.
If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

SE integration would let me trigger an event that if a tip came in, my audio filter for my mic would change to a different voice or it would kick off a camera effect based on the amount of a tip / bit donations / etc.

At the end of every month I give my highest loyalty point holder a gifted sub. To even the playing field, I want to subtract 5000 points from everyone.

The ‘!addpoints all -5000’ command will only subtract from viewers currently watching the stream and I don’t see a way to do this from the streamelements website.

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

3. Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

My custom bot is not getting messages when I get a sub/follow. It's getting all my other chatbot commands.
Previously when I got a new follow - my alert screen would fire and Stream elements would say "Thanks for the follow (Username)"

Hello. I'm trying to get everything swapped over to OBS/StreamElements and I'm having issues with darkmode/lightmode. For me personally, I need lightmode to read for accessibility reasons. I added the plugin to OBS and everything is in darkmode. The Twitch chat box can be changed using the cog wheel, but the setting doesn't stick. Every time i restart OBS i have to manually turn lightmode back on. In regards to the Activity feed there isn't even an option to switch it. Is there a setting I am missing or can a request maybe be submitted? Thanks

i had this problem a while ago and fixed it by disconnecting the bot in my activity feed in OBS itself, the standard SE bot worked fine and I added the custom bot again. hope this works for you

Set your video so base canvas is 1080, scaled resolution is 720, 60fps.

Encoder settings > change from simple to advanced > set bitrate at 3500 > disable psycho visual tuning > keyframes = 2 and try that

Testing has shown that the scene i am on when closing obs will be the only scene that shows the cam at all upon re-opening obs. (just chatting for example).
when im on a scene with no cam added, then none of them show the cam upon reopening.

All drivers are up to date. cam is up to date and functional. OBS settings does detect the cam, just no picture is dispplayed as per the above. any clues?

I personally haven't messed with it but I would assume if it doesnt provide it in the default settings you would have to understands some CSS to add the .text-shadow property

"5px 5px 5px black" or "5px 5px 5px #FF5733 "

Copy the blue text and play around with the properties you can also use html colors as well.

First two properties are x and y offset. Third is Blur Radius and the last one is color

Question, can se.live/system performance affect StreamElements? Ive noticed on a few previous streams my overlays lagging on stream and a lot of alerts were heavily delayed. The lag did show up in a raw recording. Just trying to dumb down the possibilities of why this would happen. I dont see any degradation in the gameplay framerate just the overlays and alerts themselves

2. Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3. Stop your stream/recording.
4. Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste the link here.

Note: If you do not see an obsproject.com URL, you will need to update OBS Studio to version 22+.

the thing is I cant recreate the issue. I can only have a few things open while I am streaming (Never had an issue with this before) & it's saying when someone subs or gives bits ect Encoder overloaded, its also taking longer to launch other tabs If I need to edit something on the spot

If you can get it to say encoder overloaded then that is all that is needed to replicate the issue and generate the above requested log. You should be able to emulate the alert from the overlay editor

Youtube chat and stream deck hotkeys sadly dont work well together. been talking to stream deck about this issue and they are currently looking for a fix past 6months. Yes allot of emailing back and forth.
They even tried to replace my stream deck but my stream deck 'youtube chat buttons' are never sent

2. In the Target field, add the following to the very end: --remote-debugging-port=40404 (don't forget to add a space before the current path)

It looks like Twitch auth is back working, if you want a custom bot name, try this

If your commands recently stopped working and you're using SE.Live and a custom bot name do the following:

1. In SE.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2. Click on Stream Settings > Custom bot name
3. In the Custom bot name field select Set custom bot name, not your already existing username (with capital letters). Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/re4theQ.png).
4. Scroll a bit down and click on the purple Connect Custom Bot Account button
5. Log in as usual and Authorize the custom bot name
6. Back in the Activity feed, click on the Send Test Message button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

If I'm not mistaken, your scenes that you have set-up in OBS are completely separate from se.live but some features may not work if you aren't logged in to your account. This can be tested by logging out and then continuing wihtout logging in when prompted to login to your SE account

I'm trying to stream to DLive using the app, I had previous set it up to stream to YouTube, and changed the service, put in my stream key, etc., all for DLive, yet when I click Go Live it's still streaming to youtube

Se.live plug-in doesn’t support dlive. You will need to close the se.live dock panels and use the ones under view > docks

Hey, I changed my username in twitch and I think I've got most of the issues from doing that sorted out, but I believe my chat stats are not updating. I went from gottinekochan to gottisgambit for usernames. I've also found I cannot change the broadcaster name attached to the bot in the user management section of the dashboard.

Hello, I'm having issues with notification in the activity feed in OBS. I have noticed that the noficiation for Host only comes up when someone raids. I have people that have hosted my channel and it not appear in my activity feed. So unless I have stream manager open I don't know if someone has hosted. Because it is not coming up on the activity feed, it is also not coming up on the overlays I have set up. Another streamer is having a similar issue too. Any help would be appreciated. Please note, I have checked the filtering and it is not that.

Also another issue is that the credit roll doesn't show all the new followers and subscribers from that stream. Its also meant to show cheers etc. And it doesn't show them either.

I think the SE Staff may need to look into why new followers/subscribers don't appear in your credit roll though as that appears to be unrelated but I'm not that familiar with the backend of that widget

On the Widget, did you go to Settings -> Animation Settings, and configured New Message Animation, New Message Animation Direction, Old Message Animation, and Old Message Animation Direction?
