It's pretty straight forward to be honest.
if we use OBS.Live, have the bot in channel and modded, have a tip panel and SE overlays - we're good to just connect the account and use the feature
i'm not sure why you're unable to login when setting the bot account within OBS
so yeah I'll keep an eye out

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@ebon coral If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

I dont think this is related to OBS Live, but this is the closest channel (I think) Is there a trivia bot/plugin for StreamElements. Like, I can have a list of questions and answers. And the bot posts a question. If any user answers correctly, they get points in the streamelements loyalty currency. I current have streamlabs script, but I dont want to use 2 systems for loyalties or in general.

Hey team. I hope I am in the right place. Trying to link up Stream Elements overlay to my OBS studio. I click the button for connect with Twitch. It asks for username and password which I enter. Then it asks for a token which will be sent via text message or in the Authy app. No text was received. I download Authy app. It then prompts me to scan QR code on the website where I am enabling 2FA. I have no clue where that QR code may be. I don't know why I can't figure this out. Please help. 1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

🔹 Visit https://streamelements.com/logout and then log in again with by connecting with Twitch.
🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

I Have a problem. when I use my StreamElements custom alert in my stream, it is really choppy but the rest of my stream isn't. what could be causing this?
I spent days designing these alerts and it's just really annoying that they're not working. Please tag me in your reply

My stream settings:

Output Resolution: 1920x1080

There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the Dev team is investigating.
In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings)

I added the space and I get the same result. I am not sure if this matters, but I have 2 drives in my PC, my OS runs off one drive, and all my programs/storage is on another drive.

I've tried searching through this discord for my answer, but I've come up empty: My Activity Feed is devoid of all information except for follows.

Testing the widget on the website for subs/gift subs/bits gives the appropriate response and alert on OBS, but each time this is done in a live setting from a follower, nothing happens and my activity feed is not updated.

Facebook tops at 6000, I believe. But I wasn't dropping any frames during the stream. It sort of disconnected out of nowhere. You think it might be the problem?

There might be 2 reasons:

• Facebook is a bit more uptight with content shown on streams and you might have triggered something to have your stream turned off, in turn OBS might have gotten a flag from the server that you were disconnected - yes OBS and the streaming servers communicate.
• Your internet dropped entirely, without involving dropped frames

That is as much as I can assume here as I don't see anything else

@shy mountain I only mentioned it so no one would then turn around and say "it's your internet do a speed test etc". by the way even after rebooting, login out in and multiple times hasn't fixed it , even with the antivirus and firewall turned off. Any further ideas?

@cerulean bison If your commands recently stopped working and you're using OBS.Live and a custom bot name do the following:
1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name
6.) Back in the Activity feed, click on the "SEND TEST MESSAGE" button and check if your custom bot name starts working again

So I have my Youtube and Twitch connected to OBS. When I try to go live on Twitch, I get a Youtube popup asking for a video title and such and when I confirm it, the stream fails. Afterwards when I go into the settings, everything is changed to a custom Youtube ingest thing. What's going on here?

1.) In OBS.Live, click on the hamburger menu (three stripes) at the top left of your activity feed
2.) Click on Stream Settings -> Custom bot name
3.) In the "Custom bot name" field select "Set custom bot name", not your already existing username (with capital letters)
Note: If you already connected an account that way, the third entry will show as the account name (see image https://i.imgur.com/sO7fWOX.png)
4.) Scroll a bit down and click on the purple "CONNECT CUSTOM BOT ACCOUNT" button
5.) Log in as usual and "Authorize" the custom bot name

🔹 On the right side of the dashboard page that opens, select "Join" under bot settings. If it says "Part" select that and then select "Join" to send the bot to the chat. Don't forget to mod the bot by typing /mod streamelements in your channel if you have not already.
🔹 Post your old and your new name here so that we can update your channel's chatstats tracking (must be done by staff).

There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the Dev team is investigating.
In the meantime you can set the title using the !settitle command in chat (if enabled in your bot command settings)

Hi all - I'm trying to stream to Twitch from OBS.live and get rid of my facebook, I chose the twitch option but when I press go live it says all the facebook stuff every time, can anyone help?

@hexed lodge Twitch enforces a 16:9 aspect ratio resoltions, so if you force your stream output to be 21:9, Twitch will squish it from the sides.

You can use the footer or top of the window, which will have empty spaces (black bands) and add some content for your viewer there.
I'm sure your creativity will help you with that!

@amber hearth There is a bug with setting the stream title in OBS and the Dev team is investigating.

@plain mason i got sorted its a weird resolution of 2560x1080 so i just told obs the base was 2560x1440 and scaled the output to 1280x720 and stretched the game source to fill the letterboxing 🙂

For twitch prime, the user needs to have sharing enabled on https://www.twitch.tv/settings/prime. @pearl flint I think because obs is live on the client you would need to use a program like teamviewer or something and actually directly remote into the pc that obs is installed on.
