@eternal cloak Your alerts appear to be working fine, tested them just now in my own OBS. Make sure you've added them correctly and make sure you're testing correctly, with the checkbox checked in the emulator. Regarding editing the overlay, the button in the browser source properties is having issues and we are already investigating.

Anyone uses Stream Deck OBS.live integration plug in. For some reason the plug in got uninstalled and will not reinstall. Other plugins still work fine. Only OBS.live stream deck integration plug in is having issues. It could also be an issue with Stream Deck.

Start by completely reinstalling the Stream Deck software. Don't repair, complete uninstall and reinstall.

Steps:

1. Install the font on the streaming PC or choose a pre-installed windows font.
2. In the overlay widget settings, select Text Settings

4. Type the name of the font as it appears in the windows font directory (This is usually C:\Windows\Fonts)

Note: After installing fonts, the browser and OBS must be restarted for the font to appear.

Honestly no idea what I did to fix it, but text is now scrolling and video doesnt play when I test notifications. Only pauses scrolling and begins playing transition when I save, but then stops once I restart my obs.live which shouldnt be a problem since I wont save during a stream

I take it back. It only fixes the text scrolling issue. I think I am going to take a break for the night and work on this tomorrow. I appreciate the help tonight though!

I'm working on my layouts and I am adding my own webm file for the custom alerts. After I enable custom CSS it uses the default.gif instead of my custom webm file. However, I need to know the pathing to the webm file so I can replace it in the html... I don't see that listed anywhere.

Also, is there a way to limit the amount of text that comes through on a donation or the subscriber text? If someone writes a paragraph it's no going to work with the video alert... the box isn't going to grow on it's own.

Hardware acceleration? If it’s enabled you can try it, but typically it only applies to images. In your case there’s something else going on and I’m not sure what

Important note: When attempting to open in streamelements Overlay Editor via OBS, it tells me "Invalid Authorization Token". I wonder if this could be part of the issue?

• All hosts coming from an online channel with at least 1+ viewer
• Auto host events with at least 1 viewer - only from a channel that just went offline

OBS - for some reason - needs the font manually loaded as well. Adding

Can anyone help me with why in the middle of a stre out of nowhere my CPU jumps to 95%? Nothing is downloading. Nothing is being used other than OBS Live. I can't stream at all and just sitting stationary without going live it's showing 11-15% cpu usage.

Please understand that every setup will be very different.

Any guides or videos that claim otherwise are misinforming. Your best option is to start with a base and adjust as necessary.

You can run the OBS auto-configuration tool. To use the auto-config, click on the Tools menu in OBS, select Auto-Configuration Wizard, and then just follow the on-screen directions.
You can use this tool to get baseline settings for your hardware and adjust as necessary from there.

Test, test, and test again. We are happy to offer suggestions for any issues you may be having afterwards, but not a list of settings.

But that is the thing that crashes OBS. It's likely that there's still something of that in your OBS scene that causes this crash.

Hey fam, any idea why my OBS Live us chewing up between 30% and 60% of my cpu depending on what scene I'm on. No idea why but i havent had any issues until this week but now its overloadong my pc and crashing. Today we went live and crashed in a record 31 seconds! 🤣😅

I did my first 12 hour stream on saturday (celebrating getting partnered on twitch) and the stream got knocked offline 4 times. Until this week it's never happened before.

I asked for assistance on this and here is a suggestion:

• reinstall both OBS Studio and OBS.Live but don't install Logi OBS Plugin what ever that is

basically a clean install without that

make sure you uninstall obs.live, uninstall obs studio and then you can use our installer to get both obs studio and obs.live installed

when you uninstall you can choose not to delete them

but you can still do it if you want to just in case
