Hello, I need help with my overlays. I’ve been using SEobs for the past few months with almost no isssues, but for the past 3 days my SE overlays aren’t visibly showing up on obs despite not changing settings.
In the video below you can see that i tried refreshing the cache on my browser source as advised by the twitter bot but it doesn’t fix anything. Can someone help me solve the issue?

@mint pecan If you're logged in via Settings>Stream, the Twitch dock that's built into OBS Studio may allow you to, but there's no option for it in the OBS.Live plugin.

You can log out and log in with the StreamElements menu at the top, but changing the title and game in OBS.Live is a Twitch only thing at the moment.

How do you add Media Request as a Source in OBS.Live? I want to be able to control it's output and not have to have desktop audio playing for stream.

But the audio doesn't actually play through the overlay.
The OBS.Live with Media Request Tutorial shows a way through the "Tour" to add it as a source in OBS but that seems to be the only way and unlike apparently everyone else, the tour won't populate for me anymore.

It does not seem that way as I have done numerous recording tests this evening and even though there is an echo (probably from a loop or multiple sources) it does not play during the recording even though the overlay has all audio tracks recording.

You're free to test it yourself. Launch your overlay in the browser or have it open in OBS, close media request controls elsewhere, and make it play via the !play command in your chat.
Just make sure to have previously enabled "show on stream" somewhere, should work okay after that.

@tulip hamlet You are correct. It does play through the overlay. In OBS, in the settings of the overlay there is an option to Control Via OBS. This solves my problem and the ECHO that I and I think many others have been experiencing. Thank you. Just needed a little more testing to get my solution.

I have made an animated alert in GIMP and exported it as a .webp file. It will load into the overlay editor no problem and play correctly. However when I test the alert on stream, it will not show the animation, but it will play the sound. Any ideas?

ok so i figured it out. OBS and Streamelements does indeed support .webp and the animation is crisp and fluid. The problem was that I had the alert window off screen due to an incorrect resolution output
which makes me really happy because I spent about 6hrs creating this animation lol

you can double click the gameplay/capture and it will fullscreen it

If you logged in to your OBS.Live with the wrong account it is StreamElements > Log out
If you logged in with the wrong account for the custom bot name, in the activity feed in the bruger menu > Settings there is a disconnect button for the custom bot name.

I know with some games, people have been able to fix an issue similar by changing the DirectX version being used. I've also read about some people having to sync up their resolution of the monitor to the game. Unfortunately, if none of those work, there might not be a solution.

It will record the game properly only when in game. if i leave the game, it stops recording the game and the image is frozen on the frame it was on when I alt+tab out of the game. obs will still record everything else fine from different sources, it's just the game will freeze up.
is it because the game itself is suspending when i'm tabbed in to a different window?

So, someone in my chat was gifted a sub last night and I noticed that it doesn't show how long the gifted person has been subbed in the message. E.G: "X has gifted a sub to Y (6 months total). This is X's first gift sub to the channel"

- Stop your stream
- Go to your stream settings in OBS and return them to your previous settings, where your service is listed as "Mixer.com - FTL"
- In "live video settings" for OBS.Live on the left-hand side (in the chat window) change the setting on top of the window to "Go Live with Mixer Broadcast Dashboard settings" and press "Go Live!" from there

I use SE for a few of my overlays. I have a stream starting scene with a looped background video effect. I have one other overlay with the same effect. Then I just have basic sub counters and an image on my gameplay scene. I notice in task manager that there is an "obs-browser-page" process, which I'm assuming has something to do with the video source because the high GPU usage. Here's the weird part, if I close that source while the video scenes are open, they just disappear, but if I close the source while I'm in another scene, then go to the video scenes, they still work. The reason I need to close it, is because my viewers experience a massive stutter effect while I'm streaming. My gameplay will be smooth, but if I don't end that task, their is a terrible stutter.

Lol, will do. When I was trouble shooting issues, I was switching back to 264 encoder, which didn't solve the problem. Im back on nvenc because I have an RTX card but forgot to uncheck psycho tuning this time. Hardware accel was checked, so I fixed that as well.

Having a issue with Ground Control App. Installed and ran app but it does not show up on screen. I confirmed the app was running in Task Manager. Tried Uninstalling and ReInstalling but still not working. Any ideas on how to fix?

@calm steeple This is an extremely rare issue that we haven't yet been able to diagnose. However, everything you can do in Ground Control, you can do in OBS.Live, plus more. I'd recommend just using that.

I got a question about Media Request, i need to have the 'page' active to play my music on the stream, but the sound doesn't go through the Chrome processes but directly towards Windows process. Where can i change this?

In your Windows Audio mixer, when you have the MR active in the chrome browser it should be routed through the chrome process and then added to OBS in the desktop audio line.

I think the backup is not being done, because the videos of the scenes are great ... if I create a new scene profile and make the right backup. but not with my daily use.

Hello everyone ! I'm writing here, before going to sleep, after 2 hours of fighting with my single pc stream setup and an elgato hd60.
The problem is: I'm able to connect correctly the elgato hd60 to my pc and set up OBS live in order to adjust the (in my case) 500ms delay with webcam and mic. When I was done fixing it I realized that in live it would be perfect, but how the hell am I going to listen to the game while playing without the 500ms delay?
Any suggestions or solutions will be really appreciated! You've been always very kind to me :)

have you checked the "use timestamp" setting in source properties?

No, it is not checked, but as I know the timestamp function is used to sync different sources that are not synched. I was able to sync all the sources, in live output, my question is how I can listen to the game without the delay. (Sorry for bad English)

Not sure if this is a widget/streamelements problem or an OBS.Live issue, but I setup an overlay just for steam chat. The text is showing up inside the overlay editor, but the only part of the chat showing up on my actual stream is the grey box that houses it. No chat seems to be popping up. Any reason that could be?

I've been streaming on obs for about a month now and i was streaming fine this morning, suddenly, my twitch was showing what i was seeing on obs. i uninstalled and reinstalled and even started from scratch with a new overlay and everything. none of that fixed the issue and i can't figure out why

I don't think so. Be aware that I'm not a dev myself and not many people asked about a Linux version before. What do you need from OBS.Live? Maybe I can help you with some kind of workaround until a Linux version is available.

Hey guys, I really need some help.
In OBS.Live, I tried to make a 3D camera by adding 5 source mirrors of my camera and then add a different filter mask on each layer of the camera added.
For some reason, after adding camera nr. 3(sometimes nr.4, sometimes nr.5) the area that is not supposed to show from the mask starts flashing continuesly on all 5 layers.
Is this a known problem? In that case, how can I fix this?
