You will have to most likely remove our permissions from your YT account from here: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
and then try and login with the brand account

If I normally use the "Start Stream" button from OBS, everything runs perfectly, whether directly in OBS or with Touch Portal. But then there is neither a chat (yes, the live chat is discontinued) nor does the chat bot work. It is as if stream elements did not exist at all.
When I go to the "Chat" dock, nothing works.

Even if it worked, I would like to start the stream exactly as I did on Twitch - just press the appropriate button in Touch Portal and it should start. Without these contortions via the "Live Settings Video" window. If that doesn't work, then I can't use OBS.live.
But when I do that, the chat dock flickers for a while and eventually turns completely white.

Unfortunately, going Live on YT is different then Twitch, as the Stream settings need to be set either via OBS.Live when you go live or via the YT dashboard.
Can you show a screenshot of how the chat dock looks?

Hey there I seem to be having issues with obs.live connecting to YT streaming. I removed it to check everything else as well as using another program and both of those seem to be fine. When i hit "start streaming" it brings up a dialogue box (per screenshot) and nothing happens

I think I know what the problem is. If I start the stream via StreamElements, SE simply sets the stream key to a different value in OBS. But I have a stream key, a permanent one and therefore the stream cannot start.

i have a odd problem. when i run my tests to make sure everything is working. both my sub-goal (5) and total subs (46) changes to a completely random but matching number for example "sub-goal 20/5" "total subs 20." run the test again and it changes to "sub-goal 36/5" "total subs 36" almost like there synced up for no reason. which is completely messing up my ability to trouble shoot my notifications not pooping up when someone actually subs.

I would like to add a monthly sub goal and total sub goal to my stream overlay. Ideally, one would transition in, display for 10 seconds, transition out and then the other do the same. This way it shows multiple goals in one area of my screen. Thoughts on how to do this? What does the animation feature of the sub goal do? I have GymLeaderDaniel, which is connecting to my TheTekShow Youtbue account properly; but the name won't update.
During my struggle with google I accidentally made a second brand account which I've deleted, but it's still connected to my StreamElements. Can I get help removing it.
Lastly, can I get updates to the GymLeaderDaniel store and profile pages, they should be TheTekShow as well.

I have confirmed a major bug.
As of August 4 2021, new brand accounts on YouTube are designated as "limited to YouTube". This is a different set of permissions inside OAuth than Google accounts created before Aug 4.
YouTube accounts made after Aug 4 do not work with Streamelements as of now, simply due to a failure to authenticate. Any chance of a fix?

Yes, exactly. Focus more on SEO than being quirky, that way the algorithm notices you and puts you in front of people searching for specific things. That's something I'm working to improve, because the titles I had on Twitch taught me what I would consider to be bad SEO habits now. haha

This is related to the name of the channel. YouTube does not provide namechange data, so we would need to manually update it.
The system still has the old name, so the merch shop will also have the old name for now if you re-create it

No, we just reply as we have time. You can duplicate your overlays to any connected account. Go to "my overlays", find the overlay you want, click on 3 dots, then duplicate and select the channel.

I see that the data is correct. You do not have any events to be displayed in the activity feed. Your channel has not that many subscribers and no events like superchats and memberships, you can't even enable those features.
And Subscriber events on YT are delayed, 4h or longer.

There is not much that you have to do. Dashboard - join channel, this is the first step. The bot will be visible on public livestreams
And then you can add custom commands and timers and decide which default commands you need

I tried to link two youtube channel and a twitch channel to the same account but I can't do it, because it puts me "already claimed" when I want to add my youtube channel to the account where there is already my youtube channel and my twitch channel.
In the meantime I have therefore put it in "full control", because I have not succeeded in deleting the StreamElements account from my youtube channel to link to the other account.
The most important is that the channel I want to add (PULSATIONMOONLIGHT) is basically a chain from a "branded google account limited to youtube" and when I try to connect with the branded account I have an api error , I therefore spent it in "classic" account in the meantime.
If there is a way to help me I would be delighted, while waiting for my solution is enough but does not suit me.
My friend can not connect with his brand account limited to youtube either, only my old brand account (which is not limited to youtube) allows to connect to SE (also with blasic Google accounts)

The task for the developers is done, the alias swap will take several business days. There is sadly no way to import chat commands or timers or anything around the bot from one account to the other

We don't have "primary" account system - each account has its own overlays and information. You will need to sign up with your Youtube and make overlays on it to have alerts to display at bare minimum

Yes, if they are linked you can duplicate an overlay (from "My Overlays" screen) and choose to duplicate it to the YT account.

Yes. There's no correlation between them. Getting notifications for them would require overlays or chat notifications from the bot.

Unfornately this appears to be something new that has appeared and as not many (if any to be honest) of us support/staff use youtube it's a little hard as we primarily focus on other channels that we can answer with.
With that being said it's holiday week for the most part where the office is so definite dev interaction is lower than usual.

Due to changes by Youtube there can be a delay up to 4 hours with subscriber notifications. This is the new intended way for receiving events from Youtube by their design.
This seems to have affected member events as well, but not always

Confirmed that the system does not show any members and only one event from September 3rd.
I would suggest logging out and back in and test that events come in on the next public livestream.
We can't do much when YouTube is not sending events properly in this case.

Two notable ones: 1) Loyalty system - we have points on Twitch, we don't have them on YouTube yet. StreamLabs does, so it's certainly possible to do.

I joined the wrong one on accident and when I logged back in, I claimed the channel under the correct channel, but I need both the Twitch channel and the Youtube channel combined so I can utilize the overlays for both channels. I'm wanting to remove Account ID 5eb6b82b5aab2dfac8bcef76 (TimTheTechie), and replace it with Account ID 615217911148fae5d9b5e3fc (TIMOTHYonPC).

@vague raft I believe that is because of YouTube's privacy policy. By default I think a YT account is set to not show what channels they're subscribed to, which will not trigger the alerts. Only if a user had that option disabled will their alert come through

Have you tried adding the Stream Chat widget on your overlay? This should work on public streams.

Could this be why stream elements locks up OBS when I press the stream button? We are testing using both a private and unlisted stream in YT and it locks every time, OBS studio is version 27.0.1 let me know if you need more information, I did submit a "report this issue" under streamElements help.

When attempting to stream to YT, I open the livestream on YT, login to my streamelements account, and then choose start streaming on the OBS page and OBS locks up and never starts the stream, if I do not login to StreamElements and choose Start Stream from OBS it works normally but without activity feed and chat. I am on version 27.1.1 of OBS studio, and OBSLive version 21.8.5.765 any insights would be greatly appreciated. Never mind we figured it out 🙂

Hi. I am new to OBS Studio with OBS.Live... but am familiar with using SLOBS. I just transferred and went to set up my alertbox. From my perspective, it all seems to be set up perfectly. With the alertbox being its own browser source independent from the overlay. When i test it out, or "emulate" it as its called, sometimes the audio will work, which is just the read back, and sometimes it does not; however, neither the animation nor the audio work while live onstream. I didn't know it mattered.
I did it in the reverse removing OBS Studios first and then Live and the uninstall wizard crashes.
You posted an updated last night and it messed everything up. Streamlabs wasn't able to access the servers.
Reinstalled everything and still have issues connecting to the server.

Let me start over. Yesterday I was setting up a live stream for my brother's channel Acme Studios. There was an update before I could set everything up. I went live and streamed for over an hour when it disconnected from the server. I haven't been able to access the server since and I have been trying everything to fix the issue. I even changed servers today none of the servers work leading to a problem with the OBS platform.

that didn't work, but i managed to fix it. in addition to the obs.live update yesterday, obs also updated and gave me the option to connect my youtube account instead of using a custom rtmp link
seems like the rtmp link may have been the issue. connecting my youtube account doesnt make the chat window flicker when going live anymore

i'm just a user. but the SE team will just tell you that there's a 4 hour delay on alerts/activity. plus, if the person has their settings set to private, you won't see any activity from them
a good portion of youtube users have their settings set to private, so you won't see a lot of subs/activity on your feed
