There's always gonna be latency when the bot has to see input from your chat, check your commands and ping back, it's usually not more than a second or two and that's as good as it can do

I'm back from my trip. Just tried to login again, and the issue is still there.

I'll repost the quick summary:

The problem: I can't sign into StreamElements; every time I try I am redirected back to the login page without any given reason, besides the hint given in the URL "streamelements.com/dashboard?error=signup already in progress".

What we've tried:

1. Using a logout link, and clearing the browser cache and cookies. No results.
2. Signing in inside Incognito Mode. No results.
3. Using F12 to check for errors in the Console. Nothing shows up... anymore?
4. Using a different Browser (FireFox). No results.
5. Removed StreamElement's permissions from my Google Account. No results.

I'm starting to think it's definitely an issue with my account in particular, as nothing I really do on my end changes anything.

If you are not hearing your alerts and/or Media Request, you are most likely using the Control Audio via OBS option in your browser source properties.

You are most likely seeing events that have happened in the past for them and the system is now being notified of those.
This delay is intentional from Youtube and it affects all platforms that show YT events (us, SL and others)

I actually have a better answer than that... Apparently there's a big difference to how chat works in YT.

Every video has its own chat. It's not like the Twitch chat, which is the same across multiple streams.

suggesting that because there's no way to like apply an OBS filter within an overlay on the website

you can also maybe create a separate overlay and add that video as a widget, and maybe add additional assets to that overlay

but in essence it will still be a separate browser source

(because you want the OBS filter applied on it)

and the 'best practice' here is to color correct or edit the video with an editing software, and export it as you want it to be used in the overlay

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hey, I'm wondering if I got something wrong in connecting my YouTube channel to my SE account...or if I'm just missing something.
My SE seems to be like a week behind my actual numbers. Total subs shows only 81,800, when I'm over 100k. Last time I streamed (last week), Superchats didn't trigger alerts or get added to my "Total superchats" count in my session data. Do I really have to reset my session every single time I want total subs to update?

But when added as a browser source in OBS, it doesn't update as I get new subscribers/superchats.

When I emulate a subscriber event it works properly and it shows up on StreamElements, but when it comes to someone actually subscribing there is zero notification or sound. This goes for every event whether it be a superchat (because I'm on YT), a member purchase, or anything else.

If you're simply wanting to see it work a certain way you can choose unlisted/private to work through what you want. Granted it'll still require you to be "live" but should do the job.

Unfortunately due to the wonderfully lacking way SE and youtube communicate it doesn't notify us of name changes even if you log out and back in. Staff would need to have the devs handle that to make any name changes.

The system doesn't allow 2 users to have the same name. If someone connects after someone with the same name elsewhere does they become username-#### with that being a random string of numbers. As you've connected your twitch already you can't have the youtube one carry it along as well.

Generally it's only youtube users that have this issue as twitch users simply need to log out and back in to update their name if they changed.

But no 2 users in the DB have the exact link across the platform.

There might be certain instances where something might not properly update because of reasons beyond me but that usually is fixed easily by the devs.

I have a question and I hope I'm just stupid. I use streamelements on my mobile (android) and created overlays in streamelements. But on mobile I can't chose one and only the default one with the one alert box is shown. Any hint what I'm doing wrong? Overlay has Mobile in its name: "Mobile overlay". I'm logged in to Streamelements website with my Youtube and am listed as owner.

You don't rename the mobile overlay as that breaks it. Beyond that just change the behavior as you like.

Only thing you can and should change is the options within the overlay itself using the editor.

As far as what you see that will be different to my understanding. Stream should still have whatever you changed it to.
