changing between profiles will change your settings and stream key based on what you configure

Does anyone stream on YouTube with SE and get the live chat working as an OBS overlay? I went through all the steps to install SE and have connected the chat overlay to OBS via the browser function and put in the overlay's link. But when I am streaming, the live chat does not show up in my OBS or my livestream. But when I test the chat in the SE editor, I can see the test chat show up. It just never works with actual live chat

Hello everyone! I got a question. I was trying to copy all my twitch setting to YouTube but I logged in through the YouTube login button and didn't find the option. When I logged back on my twitch and tried to associate my YouTube channel in the settings it told me that account was already claimed. From my understanding is because I logged in directly through the YouTube login so I tried to delete that account so I could than assign it to my Twitch Channel but for someone reason there is no email associated to my YouTube channel so I can't delete it just with the JWT Token. Does anyone know how to solve this? Many thanks and Happy new year ❤️

Hello everyone and Happy new year! i have a issue that 1 last week with obs/youtuber.. when im streaming and when i'm not, didnt show the subscribers on dashbourd, on the activity feed and on the Gound Control. i reset everything and i dible check them. alerts box works fine when i hit the test button from my overlays. On stream the only thing who working is donations alerts. Sorry from my English! If some one have the same issue or knows what is it please tell me! Thank you a lot! 🙂

The same way like Youtube i guess! Make everythinkg on the Overlay and then then copy the link and make a Browser Source on OBS paste it (delete CSS) and thats it..

  2. Your stream must be live for the bot to join the chat.

  4. When live, be sure to look at Live chat instead of Top chat, as Top chat will hide the bot messages.

Until PayPal clears the tip and sends back a confirmation to your StreamElements account, no information will appear there and no alert will play, as that confirmation is the only way for us to be aware of a successful transaction. If you believe there may be an issue with the transaction, you'll need to contact PayPal support as StreamElements is only a passthrough service and never actually gets involved with the transaction or touches the money

I was going to comment in here that the activity feed for youtube subscribers hasn't worked for a couple of weeks for me no new subs added since Dec 19th but it looks like a common issue I take it this hasn't been resolved yet?

Hi there! I have LOVED using stream elements for Twitch, but now that I'm trying to use YT is seems completely broken. Is this normal? The widget data is inaccurate, the goal trackers are stuck at 0, I don't get the post-stream summaries, etc

Hi! I have been successfully using StreamElements for a couple of years but I have noticed now that it no longer records new YouTube subscribers.

This is missing in the StreamElements dashboard (the last subscribers recorded were on the 17th December), the chat message and the overlay notification.

I know the bot is still connected to the channel and has moderator access as my automated messages including links are still posting correctly.

Any suggestions for getting it working again?

hello, I accidentally created a separate account for my youtube channel yesterday while Twitch was down and having issues with token logins... Today, Twitch works again, and as I tried to combine both twitch and youtube accounts, I kept getting the "Channel already claimed" Error. Over the last several streams, my most recent subscriber has not changed at all. I'm guessing I have picked up 50 or so new subscribers during that time. I know that if permissions are set to private the name will not appear but it seems unlikely that 50 in a row had their permission set in this way.

Any ideas on a possible cause?

Hello everyone.

When I emulate tipps and subscribe its working and showing on overlay, but if im on live and someone sub me, alert not showing.

Hey guys, sorry if it's a spamed question, but I haven't seen any solution in messages writen here. I'm having problem, but I don't know if it's with OBS or youtube. I've been in contact with my buddy at Google and it seems like one thing they work off of is proof. If they are shown proof that something isn't working as intended, the devs will escalate the bug and work on a fix.

Users don't have the technical info to get this resolved. SE devs should be submitting reports themselves with the appropriate information since it's at their disposal. If in fact YT did changed their API and SE no longer works, then there needs to be some sort of collab between SE and YT to get it working. But that's up to SE. YT are the big dogs in this scenario

I used SLOBS yesterday to test. And subs were coming in about 4-6 hours later on the activity feed, but not the alert overlay. With SE, there's just nothing there. At least with SLOBS, it'll show up on the feed eventually. 🙄

@viral pond We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in StreamLabs OBS (SLOBS) as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin OBS.Live.

Hi, please utilize OBS's feature 'Profiles'. It will keep all your settings including layout and stream key per profile.
You'd still need to switch StreamElements accounts in OBS.Live when switching between profiles in OBS

Hey there, I've been streaming on Twitch for a while and wanted to expand to YouTube. However I can't get streamelements to work with YT. Usually the Icon in the top left switches from "offline" to "live" as soon as I start the stream but with YT thats not the case. Chat widgets etc. don't connect. Any ideas on why that might be? Would greatly appreciate some help.

I keep getting "the audio bitrate is too low" error on my stream. Even though most of the time it works absolutely flawlessly. It defies logic as all settings are correct and internet speed is not an issue.

@obtuse oracle "Follow these steps to grant managers/moderators access to your dashboard:

  1. Click on your channel name at the top of the dashboard
  2. Create a new invite at one of three access levels (Bot Supervisor, Editor, Full Control)
  3. Send this invite to a mod/manager to give them access to your dashboard. The link is one-time-use and expires after 72 hours if not accepted

After my testing the other day, Streamlabs does work, but with the delay that YT states has been implemented. So at least it works there

I got a sub, and after about 6 hours, it showed up on the feed, just no alert

They don't work without json files, error codes, or ways to replicate an issue. That's just how they work. Us users can't do anything; we don't have access to SE software or code required for this stuff to work, only SE has it

Look at it this way. YT represents your internet browser. Whenever YT (browser) updates with changes to improve things for the browser or implemented security updates or whatever, it's up to each website to update their code to work properly with the newest browser

It's all pretty easy to understand. The work involved to get things working is a different story, so I know there's hard work that needs to get done. I just wish there was just some transparency with the consumers. We're not all idiots...

Hi I'm trying to close an account due to just realising I could use one account for my Twitch AND Youtube but I logged in with Youtube creating a new account before I realised this. I'm trying to close the account but it's asking for an email. Theres no email on the settings page of my account.

  • Merging accounts only allows faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and you will be directed to DM them to a staff member

What is baffling me is - I can write code and get my subscriber count no problem. So I'm not sure why there's an issue.

afaik we didn't provide a 4 hours deadline, our dev team is still looking into it, but last update was that is on youtube's end
