i dont like to rely on a program for something like a mic if i can help it.

either something that doesnt need phantom power and just a straight input, or some sort of hardware interface.

Any particular reason you're looking to delete? If it's for the purpose of merging accounts, then deletion is not necessary.

Likewise, there is no way to unlink accounts without deleting all channels associated in it.

@smoky briar There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

SL is VERY Ram heavy, so it would not surprise me if their alerts are causing your issues, maybe try a stream or test stream and delete/disable the SL alerts to see if there is a difference (also a large majority of the world has been ripping their hair out with the ISPs janking everyones internet connection)

you had mentioned you used their alerts system, and since it's still able to store cache, it's still affecting your computer heavier than it should be.

the alpha feed can work in place of an alert and just update whenever a person follows, but its not gonna stay consistent until a user activates it
