They wouldn’t even think twice about having to shut down or be acquired. I’d pay $5 a month to keep them alive and more for even a premium version. This way we might actually get support and proper updates and items streamers are asking for.

streamlabs' alert and widget services don't require the use of "streamlabs desktop" aka "slobs", and no, i would never suggest switching to slobs in good faith; while their services are mostly fine, streamlabs desktop is a raging dumpster fire

Depends, I'd look at something like:

• chat overlay
  -- jChat or something along those lines
• activity alerts
  -- integrated through Twitch, unless you want more customization, I'd suggest just looking at alternatives to see what you can get
• chatbot
  -- streamer.bot looks good, harder learning curve, mixitup is another one
• donations
  -- kofi or something along those lines

obsessing less about centralizing things, because you'd just experience another SE situation at some point
ie having to only replace your donations because kofi went down instead of your whole stack, is way less headache in the long run

I recomend just using autumn for multi streaming and vertical there isnt much difference and its very easy to setup. For overlays just use the streamlabs browser you dont even gotta download nothing and it has some alerts stream elements doesnt

To change the currency symbol on your StreamElements tip goal overlay from $ to your preferred local currency, you need to change your global tipping page settings rather than the widget itself. The overlay pulls its currency data directly from your primary revenue settings.

Log into your StreamElements Dashboard

In the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Revenue and click on Tipping Settings.

Scroll down to the Page Settings section.

Locate the Currency drop-down menu and select your desired currency (e.g., EUR, GBP, CAD).
Note: If you have SE.Pay enabled, your tipping currency is permanently locked to your SE.Pay account's country currency.

Once you change the global currency setting, your existing tip goal widget will update automatically, but it may require a refresh to display properly

I’m sorry but none of that actually aligns with market strategy. You would be surprised what people will pay to avoid change or effort. There would be an expected percentage of churn (users who stop using the product) but seeing as the product has never been paid, they only stand to gain ARR (annual recurring revenue) by offering a subscription tier option.

Actually, it also works as a follower counter. For example, I currently have 1,358 followers on Twitch, and that value is shown in the “Follower Goal Progress.” Every time I get a new follow, the number increases.
Even though it’s in the goals section, it basically works as a general counter for different things. If you change the value from 188 to 191, for example, it will update and start counting from there with each new subscriber on your channel.
Unfortunately, it does bug out sometimes, but manually adjusting it every now and then usually fixes it.

Look, I’m just gonna say this respectfully because I’ve been seeing a lot of negativity lately surrounding StreamElements and the recent uncertainty/news going around.

I get people are frustrated. I really do. Change sucks, especially when creators have built routines, overlays, sponsorships, alerts, communities, and entire workflows around a platform for years. But some of the reactions I’m seeing are honestly disappointing.

At the end of the day, a LOT of us used these tools and services for free for a very long time. Practically uninterrupted. That helped countless streamers grow, have fun, make memories, and in some cases even make income. That matters.

Businesses open, businesses close, companies pivot, mistakes happen, communication can always be better that’s reality. The internet moves fast, and online services can disappear overnight. That’s why creators should always be adaptable and prepared to pivot when needed. If streaming is part of your income, flexibility and backup plans are part of the job too.

Also, let’s not forget there are volunteers, moderators, support staff, and community helpers who spent YEARS answering questions and troubleshooting issues for people often for no recognition at all. That stuff takes real time and effort.

You don’t have to agree with every decision a company makes. You don’t have to stay loyal forever either. But nonstop hostility, blame, doom-posting, and entitlement toward a service many benefited from for free just feels unnecessary.

Constructive criticism is fair. Harassment and constant negativity aren’t helping anyone.

Anyway, that’s just my opinion. I’m thankful for the years of tools, resources, and memories a lot of us got out of it, and I genuinely hope everybody involved creators, mods, volunteers, developers, and staff lands on their feet no matter what happens next.

Side note: watching other companies immediately jump into “come use OUR service instead” mode has been a little wild to me too. I understand competition that’s business but some of this feels less like helping creators and more like capitalizing on another platform’s rough moment.

And honestly, people should remember this: a lot of these services are also free or heavily community supported.

Any one of them could run into struggles someday too. That’s just the reality of online platforms and tech services. Nothing is guaranteed forever.

Maybe this whole situation should be a reminder to support the tools and developers you rely on while they’re still around whether that’s through donations, subscriptions, feedback, or just basic respect.

Yeah, I agree with you, and that’s exactly the direction I’m pivoting Streambot toward.

The goal isn’t to be a paid version of streamer.bot with fewer features. I respect what streamer.bot has built, especially for power users who want full control and don’t mind spending time wiring everything together.

Where I think Streambot can stand out is by making that kind of power much easier to access. A lot of creators want integrations, automations, TTS, alerts, widgets, rewards, and viewer interactions, but they don’t want to spend hours setting everything up or figuring out complex workflows.

So the focus for Streambot is wide platform support, a strong integration ecosystem, and a much smoother setup experience. More guided flows, better defaults, prebuilt templates, and features that feel ready to use out of the box.

For platforms, I’m mainly looking at Rumble, Kick, Twitch, YouTube, and eventually TikTok. With Trovo seemingly winding down, I don’t see it being a major priority. For tools like SLOBS, I don’t think there needs to be deep integration right away unless there’s a clear use case, since lighter integrations or extensions can cover a lot.

So yeah, I agree with the point. The value has to be ease of setup, polish, and a feature rich ecosystem without making the creator feel like they need to be technical to use it.

my best guess is what I’ve seen in the past from other companies, they’re waiting for future payments and using currents funds to payout more direct stuff like employees or other “urgent” costs, contractor work is not in that category usually, so I’d hope that it’s just waiting for something like that specific sponsor check to come in to distribute it directly whereas before they may have had a surplus to pay indirectly from other funds…also I have no idea

Theres a fairly likely chance that alot of people will not get there payments for 3 months. Because a buy out or seed money will take some time to come through. As this deal had to be enacted quick. The "once you let people walk on you" is kind of irrelevant because when you sign up to these sponsorships you should've read the full TOS, in which they are not reliable for late payments and we do not recieve any sort of compensation and they are in which no fault.

You accepted these TOS and so you shouldn't be angry if the payment is late haha. Just basic reading, or even, slap it into claude and it'll tell you everything in a TLDR, wasn't trying to offend anyone but people are asking "where the payments are", so they are either ignorant or don't read the news which is ironic because they are streamers and are in the public eye and if this payment delay affected them this much they would be doing as much reading as they can to understand where their money is.

1: To downgrade OBS Studio to a previous version, follow these exact steps:
[ just in case ] Back up your settings: In OBS, go to File > Show Settings Folder. Copy the entire contents of this folder to a safe place on your desktop as a backup.

2: Download the older version: Go to the OBS Studio GitHub Releases page. Scroll down to find the stable version you want, click Assets, and download the installer file for your operating system

3: Install the downgrade: Close OBS completely. Run the downloaded installer. It will automatically overwrite your current installation and downgrade your version without deleting your profiles or scenes.

Note: Since you are using SE.Live, you " shouldn't " need to but you may need to download and reinstall the StreamElements SE.Live plugin after downgrading to ensure it hooks into the older OBS version properly

If you have further questions regarding your existing tickets please respond to your original ticket as opening a new ticket will not result in a lower response time but will increase the response time for everyone else.
